We've all watched YouTube police chase videos before, and they always end in one of very few ways. 1) The suspect vehicle gives up. 2) The suspect vehicle spins out and is boxed in with a PIT maneuver. 3) The suspect vehicle crashes, sometimes horrifically, hopefully without injury to bystanders. 4) It's a motorcycle, and the rider knows that the police will give up long before the bike hits top speed.
Well this video from the Bavarian district of Regensburg ends a little bit differently. The motorcycle rider in question runs out of plays in his evasive maneuver handbook after trying the "wrong way in a roundabout" and his KSR Generic (yup, that's the real name) 125cc bike isn't able to keep up with the blistering acceleration of the Polizei's X3, so the rider quickly gives up when the officers pull alongside and block him in. The rider quickly tries to make excuses for his actions, claiming not to know why his license plate was missing before the officers even mention it.
But these two officers don't seem overly concerned with the mild-speed chase and aren't listening to the rider's excuses, plus unlike the end of a chase here the officers aren't jumping out yelling with guns drawn. In fact the only weapon in sight is a chocolate waffle cone. The officers are too busy laughing at the slow speed of the motorcycle while the officer from the passenger seat casually leans on the SUV while he finishes his ice cream. They will deal with this rider when they are good and ready. Nothing like adding insult to injury when the officer tells you your bike is "worthless", and that "you should buy a decent bike" while his partner leans back and relaxes.
