Good for performance & looks-not much else
Overall reliability has been poor, spent a lot on repairs over the years. Typical for a sports car. Rust has been a big problem on doors, underbody, rear quarter panels, hatchback,& area around windshield. Paint has been problematic-fading & peeling clearcoat.Stay away from T-top & rare convertible models due to water leaks & body flexing. Mine has been parked since 2008 because it will not pass the driveclean test & as a result not legal for the road.Make sure car has been maintained well & check for underbody rust & paint faults if buying one.

Beware of electrical faults if considering this model
There have been several electrical problems, some of them costly to fix-faulty ignition switch, ignition cylinder, fuel level sender, instrument cluster. Had to replace control arms due to bad bushings which I found out is a common issue with this model-a costly repair. Be sure to inspect for this. Body & paint have held up very well, car still looks near-new. Car has 3800 V6-very good engine for smoothness & power. Engine & related hardware & controls has been reliable although valve covers have been leaking oil for some time. Catalytic converter failed internally & plugged up but luckily covered by a special warranty. Cloth seats are very soft. Heater takes a while to put out good heat, bur A/C is very good. Windows tend to fog up in bad weather. Good car for long trips.

Good choice for a compact wagon
This car has many features for the money, including ABS,ESC,EBD,traction control, heated front seats, electrically heated windshield & 4-wheel disc brakes. Interior is very spacious & versatile which always surprises especially since car looks small from the outside. Ride quality is choppy with just the driver but smooths out with the addition of passengers & cargo.Has sporty handling. Brakes are very strong, strong enough to send any loose objects flying.Wished engine had a little more power & heater produced good heat quicker. Manual version will feel quicker than auto versions. My car has the 4-speed auto transmission, but there is a wide gap between 1st & 2nd gears. This makes the car not feel that quick off the line & at lower speeds but it becomes more responsive at higher speeds.Has been reliable so far, only 3 minor warranty issues.
