2010 Honda CR-V

by 2013rspec on 02-03-2013
2010CRV-LX
I have a 2010 Honda CR-V LX 2WD on a four-year lease now.
The car has no issues whatsoever.
The interior is quiet and free of any creaking no rattles.
Engine runs smoothly and quietly. No mechanical issues.
Only required basic maintenance like my 2008 Civic.
So far we only did oil changes, brake pads, and two new front tires to the vehicle.
I would say only downside is that the fuel economy is not as good.
I am getting average 9.0L/100kms and I am doing 80% highway and 20% city driving.
FYI, this vehicle is a front wheel drive.

2008 Honda Civic

I had a 2008 Civic Si Coupe for four years.
During that ownership the car only required basic maintenance such as oil changes, brakes, and other basic fluid changes. No other major repair was required.
Car was very enjoyable to drive and it was also getting the advertised fuel economy.
Only down side is that the car makes a few creaking noises in the interior when the weather is cold.
I forgot to mention that I had to have my radio unit replaced as the radio display would not turn on. But that was well covered by warranty without any hassle.
All in all, car was a very reliable daily driver with an exciting driving experience. Everyone would agree that VTEC crossover sound is very addicting.

2013 Hyundai Genesis

Trim: Genesis Coupe
by 2013rspec on 02-03-2013

For under $30,000 you get a lot of "car" for the money.
Genesis coupe has better styling, performance and features that most competitors out there. I believe the general competitor to this vehicle is the Ford Mustang, Scion FRS/BRZ, and perhaps the Civic Si.
Only downside to this vehicle is that the road noise is slightly loud and the ride is not as comfortable. But that is expected from a sports vehicle especially mine being the R-spec model with the factory sports tuned suspension.
In conclusion, you won't be dissappointed with your Genesis coupe purchase.
