Very reliable car with lots of room. Good for families, although fuel economy isn't great. Rear visibility is an issue, but overall is a solid performer.

The V6 engine performs very well and the steering is extremely responsive. I recently rented an impala to go on a long road trip and with my car being a 2000, I found it still out performed and was more luxurious than standard models on the market. I have the SE package and love it. The visibility is remarkable as I can drive the car backwards as well as I can forwards. Only downside if I had one, they are expensive to fix. With 265,000 on it now, the body is beginning to rust and I will soon be looking for a replacement.
