Toyota Tercel 1982-2010Change

It is a great car model. In almost twenty years that my parents bought this car, it never let us down and it still works perfectly fine!
The car is smooth is super reliable.
It is probably one of the best car model ever made.

It's pretty Fuel efficient and it get's the job done. The comfort is pretty good for long car rides and I have taken it for 6 hour drives and it is pretty good. If you are looking for a stand out car or one that pops out from the others I would choose a different brand of car but If you just need a car to take you places this would be a good car for you because it is fairly cheap and it is reliable and durable

This Tercel was my first car. It was a huge part of my life for 20 years. Always reliable and safe and I loved the exterior and interior design.

My little Tercel has never let me down. I am a virtual stranger to the gas station. No, it's not the most powerful engine, but the reliability and fuel efficiency have more than made up for that.

Sure it is not the fastest car on the road - you will rarely see one in the passing lane, but this is not what Toyota built - after 25+ years, Toyota discontinued the Tercel - the 1995 to 1999 Tercel with their 93HP 1.5 L 5E-FE I4 Engine has proven to be a virtual TANK!

With proper maintenance, there are many 1995 to 1999 Tercel still on the road today...the body is still current with new small cars so these Tercel's will not stand out when compared with modern economy cars.

Even today, I would not hesitate to drive the car to visit family and friends - A round trip of over 1,000 miles in the middle of winter... How many owners of a five year old vehicle would say the same.....NOT MANY.

Couldn't ask for a better car. Such a rare golden nugget! Corners well, runs so smooth. Made for high km's. Outstanding reliability. Sad to see it go. Nothing wrong with it the whole time I owned it except a belt and a couple light bulbs. Comfy, cheap on gas. Doesn't burn oil. Beautiful engine. hidden treasure since ppl over look it because of mileage. Ageism for cars. has at least another 100000km of good quality juice in it I'm sure. Lucky to find it and such a great deal. Hard to find good quality cars in a higher km range. This one passes the high km test.

Have this car for over 2 years, use it for school commute. Had no problems with it at all, starts up like new. Gets you around and amazing as a first car to learn how to drive. Saves on gas and insurance, compare to other similarly priced cars. All in all, owning this car let me avoid using public transportation and its shortcomings.

Most reliable car I have ever owned. Great name for high km, never had to do much to it. Engine runs so smooth. Low maintenance required. Like the energizer bunny, keeps going and going and going and going....they don't make it like this anymore.

One thing I can count on is this car will take me from point A to B without trouble on a daily basis.

No fancy features, but I was buying it for the engine and the fact that the heat works for winter and that it will serve me well. I don't need all the extra's just a great car that runs well. As a standard feature car, has been very comfortable and an enjoyment to drive in everyday. Comfortable and roomy.

Reliable and fuel efficient. Great handling. Only downside is it burns oil, needs to be topped up routinely. Otherwise gave me little trouble over two years of driving.

Excellent car. Great for running around town and the commute to and from work. Great on gas. Needed some minor repairs along the years but nothing major. Tires, batteries and brakes mostly.

best used old car i have ever owned, this car is NEVER in and out of the shop, really good on gas and nothign every breaks. Toyota Tercel Build to Last! No word of a lie.

I have been driving this car for years and it is so fun, easy and reliable! It's great for city driving or for cruising the highways.

This has been a great car for me. Runs great and you cant beat the fuel mileage. Very reliable which is why its probally still on the road

The day I drove off out of the Jaguar showroom with my slightly used 1996 Toyota Tercel Sport was the start of a wonderful 14 year long romance. Even though today I've put this little sweetie on the market, it makes me sad to think about saying goodbye. This car has been remarkably reliable, wonderfully economical, and most importantly a blast to drive.

I only wish that my son had acheived a learner's license by now so that I could hand over the keys; but alas - such is not the case. The unknown lucky buyer will be in for a treat.

Pretty good average car. No major problems with it but could be improved . Also pretty affordable for students and first time car owners .

Get's me from A to B just fine with minimal things to complain about. The only thing that kind of sends me over the edge is during the winter you have to constantly run the fan in the car or else the glass on the windshield/windows inside the car get really fogged up.

A relatively comfortable and quiet drive, the 4 speed manual transmission behaved well, even when I was a little bit rough on the clutch. The gear ratios keep you well within the first two gears for most traffic bound driving and thanks to the long second gear you won;t likely be shifting much frequently in the city, which also affects your mileage. The front bucket seats are a bit stiff but good for a short jaunt around the city but might require frequent breaks for longer voyages. With four doors this care had more than enough room for a small family making it a great choice for those just starting one. The dash layout is straight forward with most of the controls available without having to feel around while driving at night., Overall a good driving experience but lacking in comfort for the long haul.

Great car, lugged me all throughout highschool and university. Great fuel economy despite high gas prices and chugs its way in any weather, rain, sun or snow.

I've had no problems with my Tercel since I bought it, the fuel economy is great considering gas prices these days, It runs well for city or highway driving, a great all around vehicle, not much to be said about the interior though, could have more features, but that's not really the reason I bought it, I'd highly recommend this car for anyone who wants a good reliable car with great gas milage.

I've never seen a car run as well as this, for as much gas mileage as it gets. it's a great little car.

This car just refused to let me down. The exterior, meaning the frame itself, was the only problem I had. Canadian weather had it rusting pretty badly; I had to have my rocker panels fixed every year for inspection. However, everything else in this car was awesome. I filled up the gas tank only every 2 weeks (though the commute was relatively short from home to work). I would absolutely recommend this car to anyone who has the ability to do their own body work, or can get it done cheaply.

My Toyota Tercel worked wonderfully for me. It would have kept running and running if only the body itself didn't rust so easily. I had to have the rocker panels done year after year (and that may also be due to the quality of the work people did). However, the rest of the car worked quite efficiently.

Great little car for zipping around the city. Extremely reliable, never broke down, only replaced fluids and brakes and ran for ever. Lacking in power and handling. Seating is a bit uncomfortable for long distance.

like the caption says, a reliable ride in that it gets me to and fro from work to home -- would i go clubbing in this over my true beaut [camaro!], naw, but this car works when you're in a bind, word.

I drive this car from 2005 to present. It's a really good car. Although it is a little bit old, it's performance is not bad. There is not much big problem for this car. It is safe and good choice.
