1988 Porsche 928

Trim: S4

An appreciating classic GT
In 1988, this was one of the most superlative GT cars available with a blend of supercar performance, luxury amenities and daily driveability. Hand-built according to exacting engineering and design standards, this car combines 1980s automotive nostalgia with capabilities that are still relevant today. Powerful, yet understated, the Porsche 928S4 still generates a lot of positive attention and stands out from the crowd. Maintenance costs are reasonable provided that the car is serviced and driven regularly. Remember, these cars are built for driving!

1985 car that drives like a 2005
I would never sell this beauty but am replacing it with a 2014 GT3 no other car can substitute the void that the 928 5sp will create in my garage. There really is no substitute!

Best Porsche GT Ever
The car that was meant to replace the 911 ended being priced too high to afford by many. It is now priced well below its value which makes it a great project to restore.

V-8 Porsche !
This car handles well at any speed. Fabulous to drive down a twisty road or take a long Highway trip. This car offers it all. And looks as good as it drives !

1989 Porsche 928

A driver's car
If you can be lucky enough to find a Porsche 928 in great condition, or have the ability to bring one up to snuff yourself, buy it. The '89 is still gorgeous by today's standards, and is a thrill ride, to be sure!
Porsche's are simply made REALLY well. They stand the test of time, with care. And there is all kinds of information, and parts still available to keep this car an enjoyable ride for more years.
It is NOT your primary car - but it is certainly one to have for when the weather turns nice and thoughts turn to driving for fun.

1989 Porsche 928

Trim: S4

Love this car to pieces
Purchased as third owner with 88,000 kms in 1999. This car is beautiful, fast, comfortable, rust-free and reliable. The only major issue was a ECU replaced at a cost of approx $1000. Have replaced steering rack as well, but has otherwise been routine wear and tear maintenance.

In 1989 you got a trip computer, climate control, eight-way adjustable power, and rheostatically (i.e., via a rolling wheel) adjustable heated seats, with three-position memory, ABS, air-conditioned glove box, and best of all, a whole dash pod that tilts with the steering wheel, ensuring the gauges are never blocked.

Leather still smells like it did the day we bought it, and it's real proper soft leather, not the silly slick glossy stuff they supply now

Car gets compliments everywhere and harkens back to a time when Porsche was really and truly doing its own thing, making wonderfully unique models with real character that weren't dependent on electronics.

Not saying I wouldn't want a Carrera GT or a 2013 Boxster or Cayman, but this car is a classic in the best way. Don't ever intend to sell it.

Only problem is nothing other than extreme summer performance tires are available in stock 16 in. wheel size. Must upgrade wheels to get all-season performance tires.
