Mazda Tribute 2009Change

Handsome looking, economical with the 5sp/4cyl engine which lacking somewhat in performance is adequate. Comfortable and practical, really enjoying this vehicle.

Inexpensive to buy and run this vehicle. 3.0l v6 engine has lots of power, and is fun to drive. Easy to pass on the highway, and good towing capabilities. Great gas mileage. Very comfortable ride, interior is very nicely laid out and is appealing to the eye. Only thing this vehicle lacks is navigation and blue tooth phone hook up, however this can easily be fixed with a tom tom and blue tooth device. Maintenance is inexpensive, and no problems with the vehicle beyond regular maintenance. Would recommend this vehicle to anyone looking for a smaller SUV that has an excellent balance between engine power and fuel consumption.

While we are pretty happy with our Tribute overall, I do find the AWD not the best in snowy or slushy conditions. The grinding noises made by the brakes in those conditions is very annoying. It is comfortable, and holds our family of 4 and all our gear very nicely. Gas mileage could be better.

The Tribute is a true sport ute. Although truck like, it's fairly comfortable and still handles decently through the corners (Thanks Mazda!). With it being a 5 speed manual, I get awesome gas mileage, whether I'm in the city or out for a nice highway drive. Cargo space is perfect, more than enough for my two little angels with their gear and all. Interior design approach is very neutral. Nothing special, but very useful and well laid out. I just wished the 4x4 was offered with the manual tranny, but with a good set of snows, traction wasn't an issue in our Canadian winters. Overall, I give it a 10/10 in my books, and by the way I've already logged in about 121,000 kms just over 3 years. That goes to shows the reliability of this truck, I can also say that it's Ford tough!
