Chevrolet OPTRA 5 2000-2007Change

this car has been good to me, in the nine months that ive had it. no problems with it. fuel efficient, very reliable. gets you from point A to B. if you just want a car to drive around in, this is the car for you. only reason I'm selling is because I want something different. I still like this car. but I like to change things up every once in a while.

Economy, spacious, powerfull engine yet economic, 5 speed, can go uphill with 3rd and increase speed to 4th. parts are extreamly cheap. 4 break pads cost 80 bucks

The car is great on gas mileage which is nice for a smaller family. It was very affordable and has been relatively reliable since we have driven it. If I wasn't planning on having more kids then I would definitely buy this type of car again. It has definitely served its purpose.

This vehicle is very hard on gas and has a very poor reliability record. The car is prone to electrical problems including a recall for the headlight wiring under the dash, which melts the wiring together(3times)!! With less than 140K kms on the odometer, I have replaced the head gasket, wiring, radiator, water pump, belt tensioner assy, and alternator. This was all within the last 10 months! The cylinder heads were planed last year. This year the cylinder head is now cracked and the part is in limited supply as are most parts for this car! GM sold relatively few Optras! Parts for this vehicle are usually only available at a gm dealership, so beware parts are extremely expensive!! The car now belches smoke, is hard to start and costs more money in Antifreeze than it burns in gasoline!!!! My car is now only good to be sold as a parts car!

This is an abortion of a car!! The car was built in Korea by Daewoo Motors with Chevrolet Optra as its nameplate. Daewoo motors is now GM Asia (makers of the Chevrolet Aveo)!! My advice do not buy this model car. If you decide to buy one of these, as they are a smart looking car, I suggest you buy yourself a bus pass!!! You will be waiting a long time for parts!!! Of course you could always buy my Optra as a parts car!

I have driven this car from Labrador City winters through the Eastern coast of Canada and again through downtown Montreal without hiccup! such a little gas miser! love it!

i was pleasantly surprised when i bought my used optra...it had only 70,000 km om it but had been in an accident previously...it runs wonderful...i have had it two years and only had to do routine maintence on it... the only thing is in 5th gear on highway i can only get it to go up to 120km/hr before it revs to high...

Love the ride and comfort. Gas milage could be better

i've ownd the car for four years and i have not even change the brakes on the car.

I'm over 6 foot and i sit very comfortabe in it. It comes with alot of extras to make the ride comfortable. including lumbar support.

recomend the car to anyone looking for a cheap reliable econobox

Almost a full size famely car, The Optra 5 has proven to be the best fuel economy yet it has a powerfull 16 valve engine. and very spacious when compared to Aveo.

when you get the automatic transmission the cars take a lot of gaz but with the manual you have a normal comsuption

that's a great car in winter's condition because is heavy

I've had mine since 2006 and I haven't had any problems. it is comfortable, good on gas and gets me from a to b. It also has a pretty good looking exterior for a economy hatchback.

This car is a reasonably priced car. It was on "Top Gear" as such, and I would have to agree. It has been very easy to go on long trips in this car although it is compact and for long trips is not very comfortable. Good for a starter car, or a car to get you to and from places. I like this car, and would recommend it to others.

Unfortunately, I had a lot of issues with this car. The covering of the gas cap locked so I was at a gas station almost out of gas and couldn't get gas. That was frustrating. I prefer a car that I can change the headlight myself without having to pay a mechanic to do it.
I had several small issues but fortunately not large issues with this car.

great,z dependzabzle, love to drive it. Need a SUV now, something bigger with more space. The color of the car is red and it is a 4 door with low KMS. Everything has been fixed on it and it has had an oil change done rescenztly

Our Optra 5 is a basic low end car with no guts! Things I like about the car are the sunroof, the ignition lamp (see where to put key in dark) it's pretty teal color. What I don't like are, the window sills are too narrow, not comfortable to rest arm, no padding. The engine is wimpy. Don't dare pull out into traffic quickly as engine takes a while to rev up. Alarm system is dumb, even after getting into car with key fob, sometimes alarm will trip.

A great car, has been very reliable and great on gas. It has quite a big interior so it has been great for the times I've had to carry stuff in it. Very few problems, and the problems I've had have been quite minor.
