2008 Chevrolet Malibu

Very dependable car
Safe and reliable car with very little maintenance. Comfortable ride with plenty of room for five adults. My only issue is the turning base is very wide so making u-turns or parking can be quite tight. The car is nine years ld and has been reliable and repairs have been fair.

Comfortable and reliable
Bought used and have had only moderate maintanance required. Occasional problems with onboard computer saying the air bag requires repair but when taken in nothing is wrong.

Great
I really love this car and would not be selling it if we did not get a boat. She rides really nice and has the pick-up when you need it on the highway.

I really took care of this car as it was always washed and the salt never formed on it in the winter. Having a two-way start on it meant it was always warm in the winter and cool in the summer. The car has just been safety done on it, winter and summer tires each with their own set of mags means that you are ready for any season.

This is a great deal under $13k

A VERY NICE MALIBU
Drives like a new car.Well maintained and a great buy. Has lots of nice options like adjustable pedals for those with shorter legs like me. Remote is so nice on those cold days or hot days to cool your car down. You won,t be disappointed

It's ok
Some electrical issues and below average fuel economy are the only real downside to this great car. It is quiet and good riding and handling.

Great car, never had a problem.
I've really enjoyed this car. I use a lot less gas in general. The interior is surprisingly spacious. It's also a pretty smooth ride. I would recommend it for anyone looking to save money on gas without having to drive a compact or hatchback.

very nice car for the value
Fully redesigned for 2008, the Chevrolet Malibu is now roomier, more powerful and of notably higher quality. It shares a platform with the Saturn Aura but is definitely not a simple rebadge, as it features unique exterior and interior styling along with different suspension tuning for a softer ride.

Nice ride
Nice car. Love the interior. Gas mileage is good. The 4 door is much nicer than the two door for family and friends to get into the back.

great reliable car. i would recommend it to anyone. i've taken on several long trips. there's lots of room for the family and great on gas. not a single repair needed to date with 79800 km on it. for a fraction of the price of an import, i'll take it anyday or an accord or camry

Malibu, Chevy's new face
I have car ADD. I love cars, no 2 ways about it. A few years ago, I was enamored with everything German until I realized the cost of ownership was slowly putting me into bankruptcy.

When I came out of my lederhosen fog, I bought a sensible, and reliable Japanese vehicle (my wife's description, not mine).

That lasted a year.

I needed something more than an appliance to get me through my daily grind. While reminiscing and drooling over cars, I remembered driving a great rental that I thought would be a great daily driver, Chevy Malibu. As it turns out, they are still darlings in the world of rental cars but i can live with that.

In my quest, I found exactly what I wanted without having to pay a premium for a German name brand or Japanese "reliability" or Korean value.

In came a Chevy Malibu V6 with "tap shift" and a full gamut of options save for a much wanted sunroof. With 252HP and a 6 speed automatic transmission, the inner hooligan was satisfied. Great highway presence and comfortable 6 way power heated seats that I could sit in all day.

Thankfully the Malibu is wife approved but more importantly, it's kid approved. A much tougher audience if I dare say! The kids love the Disney channel on the satellite radio and now for weekend hockey deliveries, there is no need for them sit with their hockey gear because the trunk is enormous. The opening could be a little less restrictive but the cavernous space makes up for any shortcomings.

I look forward to winter with traction control and OEM remote start. Which is going to come in handy since my wife has claimed the garage as her own for the winter months.

A lot of car for the money
I bought this car new in '08 and I really enjoy driving it.

Great comfort and engine performance but one thing that continues to amaze me is how quiet the car is.

I've had a few issues like a defective door lock solenoid, a bad gas pedal sensor and a weird rattle but all of them were fixed by the dealer under warranty.

GM's customer service got involved in the rattle issue and they escalated to their engineering department. They handled the entire things very well and I was impressed by how involved they were throughout the process. It turned out it was the sunroof privacy screen resonating when hitting a bump in the road at a certain speed.

Overall, great car for the money.
