Hyundai Accent 1994-2019Change

I bought this car a year old and I love it. It's zippy, sporty and I find that the engine is really peppy. I love the heated mirrors and headlights, and the cruise control is a bonus. I also really like the outside temperature gauge that is built into the odometer, and it warns me with a chime when the temperature gets below freezing,...that is when the traction control kicks in.

It has been close to 7 years that I bought this car 2nd hand.
Very pleased with the handling & gas economy. Back seats fold down if I need to carry larger items. Have very cold winters where I live but my car always starts without problem. The heating in this car is really good as it takes very little time before the car gets warm in the winter or the air conditioning cools the car in the summer. Have had to do very little repairs since 7 years. Very practical & economic car to own. Will probably still have this car in 5 years.

had it for 8 years and still works awesome. love it!, smooth ride, easy on gas. overall it is a very reliable and comfortable car to drive! I would definitely recommend it to anyone!

NO PROBLEM. I never return to my dealer for problem. Good economy for the gaz. The cost is very low.

Car has been great for the first 3 years then its been at the shop more then i drive it. Have not been in any accidents body is still in great shape. just needs more repairs and still paying for the car at same time.

Had this car for over a year. Bought it used and have not had any issues with it. Runs well and is good on gas. Only issue is where the cup holders are. They seem to far back next to where the seat belts clip in.

I bought the 2 door hatchback and have been very satisfied. Smooth ride, fuel efficient, and gets me where I need to go. Has a little trouble on steep hills and windows tend to rattle a little. Customer service is excellent.

This car has all the features you want but cant afford in other cars, it has great fuel mileage and is roomy and comfortable

Car was gifted, at first I went well !!! not sure I like but hey it was free, in time I got to appreciate how i could always trust it to start and get me where I was going.

I bought this 2 door hatchback to replace a 20 year old Toyota. It has been 6 years later and I'm very happy with my purchase. Car starts quickly, gets me where I want. Drawbacks....going up hills takes a lot of power, windows rattle a little and I find angles of windows tough to see certain things coming at me. For the price I can't complain. Customer service is excellent

I've had this car for 4 years now and I have never experience any problems with it. It has very good fuel economy.

I love Hyundai vehicles, we'ave had a few in our family. They are great on gas, quick to get moving, manuverable and comfortable. I wish vehicles were made of a little more metal but I suppose thats where the incredible cost savings comes in. Price point is fantastic.

This is my second Hyundai accent, I bought this car new 2 years ago because it was the best value on the market. It is the perfect size for me as I'm generally in the car myself, commuting to-and-from work. Fuel economy is fairly good, and so far has been quite reliable.

I ve had this car for 2 years with no problems. Its great on gas and very comfortable for a small hatchback

If you're at point A and need to get to point B without fuss, boy is this the car for you.

Vehicle is stylish without being too eye-catching and distracting. Four wheel discs all around are nice, and my only complaint would be headlights are a bit weak. Easy enough to fix if need though.

I drive the base model ('L' model in Canada) hatchback, so you can forget about any niceties like power windows or mirrors, automatic transmission, air conditioning or anything of that sort. But it does exactly what it's supposed to do, and the cabin layout is simple and easy to access everything you need. Heated mirrors would certainly be nice on the base model though for Canadian winters!

Performance is surprisingly peppy. With almost 140 horses under the hood the car can do 0-60 in under 7.5. For a subcompact economy car that's pretty good. Handling is typical pre-2016 Hyundai (ie: very vague) but chances are you're not buying a Hyundai Accent for weekends on twisty roads. Fuel economy is good - not great - but you'll get your 30mpg combined if you feather the accelerator.

Reliability is great. No issues other than a leaky CV joint which I've had fixed under warranty. Over the five years I've owned the car I've had no major concerns.

Overall a practical vehicle that'll get you where you need to go and nothing else. If you need cheap, reliable transportation and can do without fancy infotainment systems, this is the car for you.

I've got 46k in 14 months on a 2015 6 speed manual hatchback Hiway commuting to work and it accelerates quickly, has super responsive steering and really does get in the low six's per 100 km on gas. At 2500 rpm it pulls away hard in 4th 5th or 6th. Its hardly working at 140 kph on the 400 series Hiways. AC blows cold about 1 minute out of the driveway and it is so quiet you'd swear engine has cut out waiting at traffic lights. It's amazingly easy to get into (for a large person). I'm constantly banging my head doing the same on our CRV. Best overall buy ever for me.

I never put 1$ in this car maintenance from the time I bought it (125.000 km) until now 200.000 . The mechanic recommended to change the timing belt set so I changed it. Next car will be definetly either a Hyundai Accent or a Hyundai Elantra GT.
On the other side it is not good on gas 1,6 engine and 16 valves automatic gearbox, I was expecting it to be around 10L/100 km, it was 12,5 - 13L/100 in the city. Highway it is good on gas. All and all maintenance costs : 0 , never broke down . I bought it with 5000$ and I expect it to hold for 5 years without major repairs ( engine , gearbox ).

This was my first car and it saved me a lot of money. It only costs about 36$ to fill the tank and that lasted me almost a week with daily use. It drives well in the winter and doesn't have any of the other tempting ad ons that use gas such as air conditioning so you save money by using windows.

This is my 3rd small compact car I have driven for daily work use. I have been enjoying my Accent driving since January 2014 and still using it daily. It is easy to park in small space in the city. A very reliable engine, smooth driving and no-issue, easy low-cost maintenance at Walmart Car Servicing Center.

Sometimes I feel I have to say slow down. Handles very well but revs a little high over 110 kph.

The 5 speed transmission is very responsive and easy, and the braking is immaculate. Highway driving feels more like a sedan than a sub-compact. The interior space is surprisingly large, and with a hatchback, rear storage, hailing etc, room is not an issue.

This is the most reliable car we ever owned. It's easy to offer a 100,000 km warranty when nothing ever goes wrong, we never required a single repair while we owned this car. It's a surprisingly peppy and capable car, and it doesn't have that cheap feeling like our Chevy before it did.

During I used this car. I always satisfied with this car. Well finished interior and out-terior, very fancy design as well as good price. I never regret that I chose this car.

This car never lets me down. Seats five, or fold down one or both back seats for tons of cargo room. We were surprised how much we could fit in the back, and still have room to see out the back. Bigger windows than a Calibre let you see more, and higher clearance than the Fit, very helpful for winter roads. It's had no issues. Would buy it again in a heartbeat.

Like the interior and exterior styling.
Lots of great features for the money: cruise, air, heated seats, power locks and mirrors.
Very quiet ride, both city and highway. Surprisingly quiet.
Dislikes: The handling is a bit mushy. It could use a stiffer suspension to give it more sporty cornering.
The blue-coloured radio display is hard to read in daylight.
