Hyundai Accent 1994-2019Change

This is a great little car and very easy on gas!! With prices so high you will love to stop at the pumps with this one Very comfortable and reliable too.

Cheap easy car to handle. Easy to manuver. Cheap parts to fix as well. Low maintenance, and low cost.

I've been rolling with this car since 2005 and it is still good after 200 000 KM! it doesn't stop and its fuel economy is still great.

this car is amazing ! I've been driving one since 2005 and i has now 200 000 KM and still rolls pretty fine. It isn't the best car due to its performance but i couldn't be more reliable than that.

This is my second Hyundai Accent and I just love it. It is a reliable car and has never let me down. The gas mileage is unbelievable and seldom needs any repair outside of regular maintenance.

Driver seat can not extend backwards enough. My legs cramp because the seat does not go back far enough so one is comfortable on the gas pedal. Other than that, it's a great little car.

It's an overall okay car, not the greatest. It's a good starter car and will last years but the exterior styling isn't to my liking. It's not sleek and the windows are poorly made. I would probably wouldn't have bought it if it wasn't the good deal I had received when I purchased the car a few years ago.

Overall an awesome car with great styling inside and out. the 1.6L direct inject gives all the pep one needs and is very reasonable on fuel. I bought the 5 door hatch and it has all of the practicalities of most of the recent line up of Hyundai. Only draw back I can say about the car is the headlights are extremely poor as far as the optics goes. The dealer and Hyundai Canada at this point have had no solution beyond giving me higher output bulbs to try. This has made the lights brighter with the same poor optical patches of the normal bulbs. If they get the headlight issue addressed it will be a perfect car for anyone city or highway.

This is the second accent I have owned. The first one I purchased in 1996 and it was such a reliable car that I had no hesitation when I decided to purchase the second one. I wanted a little, economical car. I have dogs (at one point 3 large dogs) which is why I looked for a hatchback. Both rear seats fold down so the dogs have lots of room. The only thing I didn't like in the first car was that it did not have a sunroof and in the summer time, even with both windows (drive and passenger) rolled down, the air circulation for the dogs in the back wasn't enough. Now that I have a sunroof, it's great! The SPORT is a five speed stick shift that has a lot of pick up for a little engine while still delivering good gas mileage. I would buy one agian!

This is a great little car, especially on gas, be it for city driving or highway. I have drove this car over 100,000km and it still is driving great. It has all the features that you need in a nice small car, plus some great little extras, like I love the rear wipers and defrost

The car works great. Haven't had much problems with it. The fuel economy is ok. The interior was good, didn't unravel on me. The car is reliable, hasn't broke down on me. I keep it tuned up regularly to avoid any issues. I have had a couple people I know that owned an Accent, have the car breaking down or falling apart on them, but mine was ok. It is a comfortable car, but i do regret not getting a 4-door because we extended our family of two. Overall, I can recommend this car to people who may be buying their first starter car, but I do not think it is one that is good for a family because of the lack of space it would have for everyone to be comfortable.

For a $20,000 car, this car has proven it can handle the harsh alberta winters as well as sleek and stylish as any other car in its price range. For what your paying for, your getting a good performing car, pretty good on fuel economy (around 7L/100KM city) as well as a pretty strong frame. The featherweight steering in parking lots is a really nice feature and the stiffer highway steering give great control. One complaint that stands out for an albertan such as my self, and would apply to any cooler climate, the defrosting of the windows is not very strong and take upwards towards 45-60 min. As well as the traction control kicking in when it shouldn't (not a make or model problem, just a my car problem it seems). This car is great for its value and I would recommend it as a great competitor to any other cars in its price range.

Never had any problems , I would keep it if I was staying in the country.

This car is so great on fuel. IT doesn't cost me an arm and a leg to fill up. We will be getting a newer modle with in the next month or so.

I love my Hyundai Accent...It is great on gas and very reliable...Has nevar left me stranded. Also I really like the hatchback so easy to pile stuff in from the back...I would definately buy another one when the time comes again.

This Accent is smooth to drive in the city as well as on the highway. It is save on gas. The engine is quiet and good power for this size of car. It is fairly good looking on the outside. I would recommand this to my friends.

Love this car, it's great on gas and gets me around, easy to drive and love that it has lots of windows. The hatchback it great too!

The Hyundai Accent was the first car I ever bought of the Car lot.I was impressed by the style of this car. After ovening this car for a number of years I noticed the fuel economy as we take several long trips.Excellent Highway car as well as good around town. Worth the money.

bought this car brand new in a hurry because of circumstances and have had no real problems with the car so far. It's small but good for 1 or 2 people. Excellent on gas. The draw backs of my car is no air or power windows or doors but
you get used to that or can get that installed in your car. Overall good first experience with Hyundai my parents have bought a Hyundai since I got mine because it's so reliable.

I honestly love this car. I would say it's the best car I ever used/bought. i definitely love the performance of this car, as well as the design. It is really comfortable. I strongly recommend this car!

I bought this car in 2009. After the financial crisis of 2008 Hyundai was selling the basic accent for less then 10000$ making this, the best bang for the buck. After a shaky start when water was leaking in the passenger side cabin when the AC was on, the Accent has been a real trooper, performing above and quite often behond expectation due to my heavy right foot. The 5 speed manual transmition is smooth and easy to handle but on the highway a sixth gear would have been nice. Something that hyundai has adressed in it`s newer model. Add the 5 year 100000km warranty and you have yourself an economical fun to drive second car. This is my first Hyundai but certanly won`t be me last.

I love my little Accent. Great little car. It's not the fastest, nor most fancy, but it suits me just fine. Great looks, reliable, and as easy on gas as a car comes.

Not much room for my Bouvier, Henry, in the back seat, but I was aware of this before purchasing it. Plenty of room for luggage or groceries though!

Completely satisfied with my purchase. Will definetly consider another when time comes to replace it. Many years from now, that is!

This is an excellent and economical car to be use. It saves gas and the design is perfect for people in the young generation. The interior design in fashionable and the seat color is perfect match with the exterior color.

The car is very comfortable, easy on gas. I have had no troubles with the car. Easy to park. They have a lot of room. The only downfalls about the car is there is no arm rest on the drivers side and the interior fabric attracts a lot of dirt, hair and pet dander which is hard to vacuum off, invest in seat covers.

Faults:

What follows isn't a joke, otherwise I wouldn't have taken any time to write this.

Transmission had a problem shifting on the highway 2 weeks after I bought the car.

Motor had to be changed at 118 000 km.

Took 1 pint of oil each 3000 km.

Battery had to be changed twice within 30 000 km.

Alternator, front bearings, timing belt and exhaust had to be changed.

Prestone pump and windshield washer pump had to be changed.

Front caliper on the driver's side fell on the highway, back brakes weren't working. Replaced the front brakes twice without knowing about the back ones.

Hand brake and overdrive buttons weren't working, as well as the lights on my dashboard.

Plus, rust was spreading like wildfire.

Maybe it is a fuel efficient car, but with my engine problem it was consuming about 15 liters/100 km (no joke).

General Comments:

The car was fun to drive and comfortable.

I bought this car without having it checked by a professional, and the blame is on me, I guess, but I'm sure it would've gone bad, even with the help of someone who knew more than me.

I've paid 4000$ for it, and I spent a good 5000$ for repair.

Check the car for a good 3 hours before thinking about buying this lemon. I would maybe buy a Hyundai if it was from 2010 and up.
