Very Reliable!!
This is an awesome car. I have been very happy with this car, great fuel economy, and I do lots of driving. One fill up a week is all I need. I'm always telling people how great it is. Drove to Ottawa on 1 tank of gas! You will not be disappointed by it. Lots of leg room in the front and back, as I have 3 6' boys that fit there comfortably.

Great ride but due to lifestyle change - must sell!
We bought this Fusion brand new and have loved it, but, due to having to change my lifestyle, I must sell. The first time we drove it to Winnipeg we were actually shocked when we figured out the mileage. 43 MPG. Very comfortable to boot.

Fun to Drive and great car for the coming winter!
We loved this car so much we bought a second Fusion. Unfortunately, we've now decided to buy a boat so have to trade this car for a truck. It has been a pleasure to drive.

Amazing Car!
Ford has truly done an excellent job building this vehicle. The only reason I am selling it is that we (wife and I) are moving out of the country. We will be sad to see it go however know whoever chooses to own it will have a car they will enjoy for years to come.

Love this Sedan!
The new design caught my attention the second I saw it on the Ford website. It's modern, sporty and attractive. The car handles superbly and you have a good feel for the road. Packed with electronics and creature comforts the interior has tons of room for driver and even amazing legroom for passengers in the back. I bought this car for my mom and dad, not because they are boring drivers (to the contrary actually), but because this is a great car that they will enjoy and feel safe in. Nine months in and we still love this car and its reliability. And surprisingly, service and oil change costs are very low.

Incredible Mid-Size Car
I owned this car for Business and Personal Use. Drove it many Kilometers driving Across Canada and the USA. It did have a faulty battery that was replaced 1 year ago under warranty, but otherwise was my pride and joy car. I have been insurance with a Honda Civic, Acura Integra, Infinity G35, Chevrolet Trail-Blazer, Pontiac Grand Prix, Acura MDX, and VW Rabbit. The only vehicle that stood close in comfort was the Trail-Blazer (it costs 20K more - we had the SuperSport Leather Trim Package).

Of course cars work as well as you treat them and I took good care of it. This car was the #1 2010 Midsize car, most comfortable car I have been in to drive and therefore I will be looking for a similar style SUV in the future. Love this ride, hate to let it go.

Love this car
Really love this car. This car is very reliable, comfortable all around great vehicle. 3.0L V6 has lots of pep on the highway and is very responsive. Highway mileage is very good city has been between 8.9 and 9.7 liters per 100 km . Interior design is extremely well done with all controls and buttons seemingly right where they should be. I certainly will be buying fusions for years too come.

GREAT CAR & FUN TO DRIVE
I bought the car new in November 2009 and love it now just as much as when I first bought it. It is smooth and safe, even in the winter snow and ice (use snow tires, it's the only way to go). The seats are comfy and I could drive it all day and never get tired of it. I have put 145,000 km on it, averaging 30 mpg combined city & hiway driving, with no problem issues. Get the 4 cylinder like did, it has plenty of power too. I've done oil changes and brakes, that's it. I would recommend this car to anyone who needs a family car which can comfortably seat 5 adults, with a large trunk to boot. You'll love the ride.

Sad to see 'er go.
First, you should know that I love this car. I don't want to sell it but owning three vehicles in our situation just seems a little over the top. My wife inherited a van from her grandparents last fall, combine that with the fact we now have three kids makes the switch seem brainless.

It never gave us any problems, good on fuel as most light 4-cylinder cars are and we treated it right as far as servicing goes as we intended to keep it for as long as it lived. So, yes, I'm sad to see her go.

2012 Ford Fusion

Solid Car
I have a tuxedo black, AWD Fusion Sport. We bought it new in 2012 and have put about 15,000 KMs on it so far. It has been pretty satisfying on the whole, but here are some pros and cons.

PROS: looks great in black with tinted windows and smoked chrome package, upscale interior (nice leather, excellent NAV and Infotainment system), crisp handling for family sedan, great SONY stereo, big trunk, sharp looks, sufficient power for most circumstances, AWD system eliminates torque steer and is great for the winter, very comfortable highway car, nice factory rims, very reliable platform (last year of it's generation, proven powertrain)

CONS: big V6 + AWD = bad fuel economy (same as the 6.0L V8 in my G8 GT), mild understeer on hard corners, steering wheel has nice leather and the right buttons but doesn't fit the "SPORT" badge (looks like one from an F-150), AWD unit is great for bad weather but is front drive biased and does little for handling on dry pavement (Haldex configuration), power is there but way up in the RPM range (you have to push it pretty hard to really unleash the engine)

All in all, the car has been very solid. It does an excellent job as a people hauler, commuter and highway car. It has an edge in the fun-to-drive department over many family sedans, but is still not a sport sedan. If you want a sporty family car that has all the bells and whistles, but a 335i or S4 is 20,000$ out of your price range, take a good look at a Fusion SPORT.

2011 Fusion
The car is extremly fuel efficent on the highway and excellent in the city also. Travelled from Ontario to New Brunswick on less than 3 tanks of gas.

The ride is comfortable for extended periods of time and handles nicely, even in adverse conditions.

Controls are easy to reach and the media selection on the steering wheel makes choosing and changing your media selection a breeze.

Comfortable Ride!
The 2009 Ford Fusion has a lot of things going for it, including sporty handling and the nifty Sync MP3 and cell phone interface. Underwhelming powertrains and some unpleasant interior controls, however, relegate the Fusion to being a mid-pack choice for a midsize sedan.

Pros
Roomy interior, athletic handling, smooth ride, available all-wheel drive, available Sync electronics interface, competitive price.

Cons
Engines are short on power, stability control is optional, antiquated stereo controls.

Good family sedan
Bought the 2011 model in October 2010 and it's been our everyday driver. We chose this vehicle partially based on positive reviews of the redesigned 2010 model year Fusion, and also because the price and purchase incentives made it cheaper than similar vehicles.

We've had it for 2.5 years and clocked 56,000 kilometers on it, mostly city driving. Fuel economy according to the onboard display is 11L / 100km (using regular grade gas), which isn't great. Our car is equipped with the 2.5L 4-cylinder and a 6-speed auto transmission.

Power is good enough for me, and I haven't found myself wishing for the V6 option.

Maintenance-wise, we haven't had too much trouble. Only warranty repairs were a faulty fuel door mechanism (wouldn't stay closed) and a burned out headlamp. Our SE model was also the subject of a US/Canada recall in 2012, where the wheel bolts and nuts had to be replaced due to a manufacturing/assembly fault that could cause the bolts to break and the wheel(s) fall off while driving.

Overall, I like the vehicle styling, performance, and price. The handling is solid but perhaps a bit too firm for my taste; recently drove a rental 2012 Camry and it was much more floaty and soft, which I found more comfortable over our city's potholed streets.

My overall rating: 8/10
