A great touring car, smooth and lots of zoom zoom
This car likes to be on the open road and not stuck in traffic of getting bumped in parking lots. Great music system, sunroof and very comfortable seats. A very smooth ride and great road handling.

It feels like you won a lottory
This car is like driving on a cloud. While you are driving on manual it feels so smooth and fast and it kind of feels like a lambo because of the way you have to change the gears behind the wheel. If you wanna just chill and enjoy in your car just put it on luxery mode and drive around. I have put 22 inch rims and new tires on my 7 series and boy it looks sick and the way it drives and handles dont get me started.

Still solid as a rock and looks almost new.
This is a great car but it is old technology compared to today and it is heavy which makes it a bit hard on gas in the city. It is a great highway cruiser and it is still as solid as a rock, very quiet and smooth.
It is easy to fix although parts are expensive, and the engine is bullet proof. Even after 25 years it is still a strong engine and the suspension is tight and surprisingly responsive.
The seating position and comfort level are great however the exterior styling is rather plain by today's standards ...but for most BMW collectors that is exactly the style they like.

absolutely and undoubtedly the ULTIMATE DRIVING MACHINE
pure ecstacy and sheer delight everytime i get into the car its like my life gets transformed.
amazing mileage for a v8 - highway she easily gets 9litres / 100 km - city driving is anywhere between 10-13 depending on how many traffic lights you encounter :)
power and handling are unmatched!! handles like a dream, like a train on tracks... power delivery is smooth through the gears and when you really want to step on it, she delivers and keeps on delivering ... if you really want to get go then flip her into sport mode and see what hidden treasures she has in store for you :)
the sound system is amazing with DSP and numerous settings it has. 14 speakers including mid ranges and sub bass woofers including tweeters really bring out the best in any song.
the seats are comfortable and the 18 plus positions enable you to find and settle down with the best of the best - I drove her 950 kms trip from quebec city to ontario and did not even feel it.
no car matches her on the freeway.........i cant go into those details here, you will just have to drive her to experience what I'm trying to put down in words :)

most comfortable vehicle to drive
This was by far the nicest interior of all series, the amount of extra options are endless, some of which newer vehicles still don't offer, fuel consumption averages 11.4L/100km which was great for a v8. Engine was very responsive when needed on highway. Lights move with the road even on hills, so no blind spots.

Automotive Perfection!
I bought this car off an Auction before seeing it or driving it. I've driven BMW's, but nothing like this! I've never ever experienced such balance. It goes from Rolls-Royce luxury, to Ferrari excitement and performance in a split second from putting your foot down. It is PERFECT, I couldn't imagine a car that offers more. I love the looks of these ones, very sophisticated and masculine. My other car is a Jaguar XJ6 which is wonderful in it's own way, but it is hugely contrasted by this piece of engineering folklore. There is a reason BMW is putting that very same 4.4L V8 in all of their cars now! The car CAN get pricey with repairs, but I've protected myself with a lubrico warranty which covers the Engine, Transmission, Suspension, and some Electricals. The car is in to get it's alternator fixed at the moment but 13 years is a long lifespan for an alternator! Those kinds of things are expected to go at that point, but it is covered under warranty either way. The car feels tighter than a drum at 190,000km. I'm quite a petrolhead, but this car impressed me!

7 Stars for 7 Series
The 750Li serves well for those people who enjoy driving a comfortable and luxurious long wheel base sedan. Upon entering the car I noticed the roominess of the cabin both in the front and back.
Among its rival German competitors, the BMW 750Li has a much better driving feel. I really enjoy the dynamic drive modes. Upon pressing the S (Sport) button on the steering wheel, the car jumps up another level and becomes more responsive in steering, throttle, body roll and braking. If i press the M button, i get to change gears to my liking. It is a rocket ship on wheels.
Apart from the driving of the 750Li, i truly enjoy the comfort level provided by this sedan. In winter i get things heated up in no time to keep it warm and vice versa in summer. The soft touch doors and the power activated trunk immensely helps with accessing the car. So does the advanced features on the remote, which can soft touch open the doors or even start the car with the remote control in my pocket.
Definitely this car is in a league of its own. Once owned this baby is hard to let go off.

BMW 7 series are very nice styling and good performance cars, but theres some cons. These 7 series are full of electrical problems and failures such as coolant and shocks. This BMW would end up in the shop every month if its your daily driver.

its a terrific ride
very stylish ride with class and luxury fast The E38 generation (1994–2001) had a five-speed automatic. The engine variants in Europe were 725tds, 728i, 730i, 730d, 735i, 740i (4.0 and 4.4 L Both included Stock Turbo option), 740d and 750i (with a 5.4 L V12 346 hp (258 kW; 351 PS) engine, as was used in the Rolls-Royce Silver Seraph).
In America, the models were sold as the 740i, 740iL and 750iL. The 740i and 740iL shared the same 4.0 L V8 engine in model year 1995, but the next year the V8 grew to 4.4L while stated power stayed at 367 hp (274 kW), though torque grew from 295 to 310 lb·ft (400 to 420 N·m). Then again coinciding with the 1999 facelift, the V8's power again stayed the same but now torque grew further to 324 lb·ft (439 N·m), due to new variable valve timing. The 740iL is essentially a long-wheelbase 740i (the "L" is from the German word for long, "lang"). The considerably rarer 5.4 L V12-powered 750iL was only available as a long-body; there was no E38 750i in the US lineup. The E38 was the first car in the world to feature Xenon headlights.[citation needed] BMW was also the first European car manufacturer to offer an integrated satellite navigation screen which featured on the E38 7 Series.[citation needed]
The 750i was BMW's flagship sedan. It was featured in the 1997 film Tomorrow Never Dies as the car driven by James Bond (Pierce Brosnan).[12]

Amazing Luxury + Power
Car is beautiful. From power to luxury to sportiness to everything. For a v8 its amazing fuel economy especially on highway. This car definetly is considered a "boss" car and a "head turner". Luxury is phenominal. So many gadgets on the inside and outside its unreal. Definetly recommend this car!

BMW's classiest, most powerful, most luxurious and most comfortable car!
THE GOOD: Class, Luxury, Power, Comfort, Appeal and BMW's finest!
THE BAD: Bigger, Stronger, Faster, and Powerful cars run on Premium gasoline.
I am 24 years old but I would buy the whole line of this car if I only had the monetary means. It's got style, looks, appeal, power, comfort, class and best of all, it's a BMW 7 Series
I am enjoying every single bit of it, everyday. Indeed, an AMAZING RIDE.
Fuel may cost you a little more compared to your V6's, but for a V8, this car is quite reliable according to my understanding.

Great car (except for fuel economy)
This is an all-in-all a great car inside and out. Very reliable, extremely quite inside with tech options built in that only became available in entry level vehicles in late 2000s (backup sensors, separate climate control for passenger/driver, rear-view mirror dims when a bright light is being projected onto it from a vehicle behind you, etc...)
It has economy mode (where it uses only 4 cylinders out of 8), but even then fuel consumption is quite high (11L to 15L per 100KM) and the only way to control it is pretty much with your foot, but lightly pressing on the gas pedal. In sports mode it's a lot of fun, but with all the speed limits, etc... you can't really have TOO much fun with it. There's plenty of cargo room for a sedan. It even has a specialized compartment for carrying skis. I found this vehicle very reliable, but costly to maintain. If you're not concerned about environmental footprint and maintenance costs, this is an amazing luxury vehicle to own.
