Great Car for the Long Term
Fantastic vehicle, which we, a family of 4 have taken on many road trips, both long and short.
It's great in the snow or rain, even with all-season tires.
Definitely a fun car to drive, which is good for the car enthusiast not wanting to give up the fun feeling just because you're driving a 'wagon'.

AMAZING WINTER CAR!!!
This is the 3rd Subaru I own and the first in an automatic transmission.

This car will take whatever Mother Nature or Jack Frost throw your way! Although it's obscure cup holder location(s) may frustrate you a bit this little beast will make up for it in terms of reliability and perfromance in any type of road conditions.

With the proper tires it's AWD makes for a well controlled ride and gives you just the right amount of confidence to leave the house when you otherwise wouldn't dare too!

I owned the same model prior to this one but it had over 340,000kms and all the bells and whistles... I sold it for just under $1000 and I never put a dime into it during the year I drove it.

My current car is as base model as they get...crank widows (which doubles as the only A/C you will get) and the only standard power option are the 2 side folding power mirrors.

Compared to the variety of FWD cars I've owned in the past it is slightly more expensive on gas but having that AWD is worth every penny at the pump.

I absolutely LOVE this car and will certainly keep purchasing Subarus going forward.

2006 Subaru Legacy

No frills AWD
This was my second Legacy GT. The revised styling since my 90's vintage was a significant improvement in my view compared to the previous version. Even today when I see them on the highway I prefer this body design to the current Legacy's. The interior was comfortable but definitely no frills. Very smooth engine and permanent AWD made this a great Canadian winter car. The price also was hard to beat for the total package. I found it to be a very reliable car that had very good mileage on the highway and decent handling.
