Following a styling update last year, Mitsubishi's little RVR moves into 2014 with minor changes to its standard features and options.
Sold in the U.S. as Outlander Sport, the RVR is powered by a 2.0L four-cylinder engine good for 148 hp and 145 lb-ft of torque. ES and SE trims start as front-drivers and come with a five-speed manual transmission that can be optioned to a continuously variable automatic (CVT). All-wheel drive (dubbed ?all-wheel control,? or AWC, by Mitsu) is available in the SE and standard in GT trim, and all AWD models use the CVT exclusively.
Trims are ES, SE, SE AWC, SE AWC Limited Edition, and GT.
RVR ES comes with seven airbags (including driver's knee blocker), four-wheel disc brakes with anti-lock, electronic brake force distribution, brake assist and brake override, stability and traction control, anti-theft engine immobilizier, front and rear stabilizer bars, hill start assist, 16-inch steel wheels with covers, black mesh grille, auto-off headlights, folding heated power-adjustable side mirrors, body-colour outside door handles and side mirror housings, heated front seats, six-way driver's seat, 60/40 split-folding rear seat, driver and front passenger vanity mirrors, air conditioning, power windows with driver's auto up/down, steering wheel-mounted cruise control, four-speaker stereo, tilt-and-telescopic steering, multi-function trip computer and illuminated ignition switch.
SE trim adds 16-inch alloy wheels, fog lights, rear privacy glass, front console armrest, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter, chrome-plated interior door handles, Bluetooth, and steering wheel-mounted audio controls.
SE AWC models add the automatic transmission, all-wheel drive and eco-mode indicator.
An SE AWD Limited Edition trim brings steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters, 18-inch wheels, black mesh grille with chrome surround, roof rails, chrome exhaust finisher, front and rear undercovers, Limited Edition badging, rear spoiler, premium fabric seat covering, illuminated vanity mirrors, automatic climate control, high-contrast gauges, and colour multi-function trip computer display.
GT trim adds Xenon headlights, panoramic sunroof, chrome HVAC and 4WD control accents, intelligent keyless entry, six-speaker stereo, satellite radio, backup camera and rain-sensing wipers.
