For 2010, the Kia Sportage adds a new trim line to celebrate its tenth anniversary, available on the four-cylinder in front-wheel drive. All models receive a new dual seat height adjuster and illuminated front vanity mirror, and those with automatic transmissions have an Eco-Minder light in the gauge. A new navigation system is also available.
The Sportage uses a 2.0-litre four-cylinder with five-speed manual or optional four-speed automatic transmission; or a 2.7-litre V6 with four-speed automatic.
Trim lines on the four-cylinder are the LX, LX Convenience, and 10th Anniversary Edition; all are front-wheel drive, but the LX Convenience can be optioned with all-wheel drive providing a manual transmission is selected. The LX-V6 can be ordered in front- or all-wheel drive, while the LX-V6 Luxury is all-wheel drive only.
Features on the four-cylinder LX include 16-inch alloy wheels, black power mirrors, flip-up liftgate glass, black door handles, front and rear mud guards, cloth seats, eight-way manual driver’s seat, 60/40 split-folding and reclining rear seat, driver’s auto-down window, power locks, CD/MP3 stereo with auxiliary input and USB port, Bluetooth connectivity, tilt steering column, illuminated vanity mirrors, floor mats, Eco-minder gauge, variable intermittent wipers, intermittent rear wiper, and windshield de-icer. Air conditioning can be added as an option.
The LX Convenience adds air conditioning, heated mirrors, privacy glass, fog lights, cruise control, and keyless entry.
The 10th Anniversary Edition adds body-colour mirrors and door handles, power sunroof, body side mouldings, fender flares, heated cloth seats, and navigation system; the stereo has an auxiliary input only with no USB port.
The LX-V6 is equipped similarly to the LX Convenience, but adds body side mouldings and fender flares.
The LX-V6 Luxury adds body-colour mirrors and door handles, power sunroof, heated leather seats, Sirius satellite radio, cargo net, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and impact-sensing automatic door unlocking system.
