Everything about my experience at Stouffville Hyundai was a precursor to what I got when I bought my used Equus - both were top shelf. From Jack my salesman to Nick who put the pre-delivery shine on the car I was treated like the only customer they had. Jack even came in on his day off to deliver it and educate me about all the features. The adaptive cruise control has already "saved" my bacon once. The car is outstanding and has all the features you'd expect in a rival Lexus or Benz. Understated elegance, thoughtful passenger features and driver's features that make you want to drive all day. I do a lot of driving and usually exited a little "stiff" even from luxury cars. Not so with the Equus. The gas mileage rivals my wife's Genesis. I'm already looking forward to my next road trip.

Issue: On certain vehicles, brake fluid could leak into the control module for the antilock brake system (ABS) and cause it to short circuit. Note: This recall replaces recall R0246 (Transport Canada recall number 2023-527). For the Sonata model, only the Sonata Hybrid model is affected by this recall. Safety Risk: A short circuit could create a fire risk, even while the vehicle is parked and turned off. Hyundai recommends that you should park your vehicle outdoors and away from other vehicles or structures until the recall repairs have been completed.

Issue: Hyundai is conducting a special service campaign that provides anti-corrosion treatment to certain underbody components. Over time, components under the vehicle, including brake lines could corrode. If this happens, a brake line could fail and leak. A brake fluid leak can result in reduced braking. Safety Risk: Reduced braking can cause an extended stopping distance and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Hyundai will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect the underbody, including the brake lines. The dealer will apply an anti-corrosion treatment to certain parts, and replace the brake lines if necessary.

On certain vehicles, the cover seal of the windshield wiper motor could degrade over time. This could result in moisture ingress, which could lead to corrosion on the wiper motor’s circuit board. If the corrosion were to progress, the windshield wipers could function intermittently or become inoperative, which could limit the driver’s visibility under certain operating conditions and increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the windshield wiper motor with a revised wiper motor.

On certain vehicles, a diode in the stop lamp circuit could fail, which could result in the brake lights failing to illuminate when the brake pedal is depressed, increasing the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will repair the stop lamp switch circuit.
