NEW FOR 2012: - New R/T trim line - Standard electronic stability control on all models - Exterior colours: Copperhead Pearl and Blue Streak Pearl added Having been redesigned for 2011, the Dodge Avenger enters 2012 with minor changes only. A new top-line R/T trim has been added, and there are new exterior colours. Electronic stability control, previously optional on the base trim line, is now standard. The Avenger comes with a 2.4-litre four-cylinder engine or 3.6-litre V6. The 2.4-litre comes with a four-speed automatic in the SE (Canada Value Package) and SXT, which can be optioned to the six-speed automatic. The SXT Plus and R/T trim lines use the V6 with six-speed automatic. Features on the Canada Value Package include 17-inch steel wheels, air conditioning, cloth seats with driver’s manual height adjustment, 60/40 split-folding rear seat, tilt and telescopic steering wheel with audio controls, cruise control, power windows, keyless entry, power mirrors, body-colour door handles, bright grille, LED taillights, ambient LED interior lighting, tire pressure monitoring warning lamp, CD/MP3 stereo with four speakers, and security alarm. The SXT adds 18-inch alloy wheels, automatic temperature control, eight-way power driver’s seat, heated seats, body-colour mirrors, leather-wrapped steering wheel, Sirius satellite radio, front and rear LED interior lights, fog lamps, rear spoiler, six speakers, electronic driver information centre, trip computer, tire pressure monitoring display, exterior temperature display and compass. The V6 model includes firm-feel steering. The SXT Plus adds leather-faced seats, remote starter, Uconnect with Bluetooth connectivity, dual exhaust with bright tips, and automatic headlamps. The R/T adds 18-inch rally-designed aluminum wheels, perforated leather-wrapped steering wheel, CD/DVD/MP3/HDD media centre, auto up/down front windows, black headlamp treatment, body-colour grille, red LED lighting, Boston Acoustics speakers, sport suspension, performance exhaust and garage door opener.
