Based on the Chevy Cruze architecture, the Verano gets its own body panels, mechanical hardware and premium interior. Sticking to the compact luxury car script, the diminutive Buick boasts numerous high-end goodies and looks especially rich inside. NVH (noise, vibration, harshness) engineers worked overtime on this compact, leaving no cavity unstuffed in the quest for a library-quiet ride. The new Turbo model ups the performance ante with a 250-hp 2.0L turbo-four and available six-speed manual.
The Verano uses a 2.4-litre four-cylinder engine with six-speed automatic transmission and a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine with a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic.
Features on the 1SB include 2.4L four-cylinder engine, six-speed automatic transmission, airbags (front, front seat, driver/front passenger knee, side curtain, rear seat-mounted outboard), OnStar, content theft alarm, electronic immobilizer, four-wheel disc brakes with ABS, body colour door handles with chrome inserts, automatic headlights, power mirrors, bright chrome window surronds, 17-inch alloy wheels, Buick QuietTuning, air conditioning, cruise control, floor mats, driver information centre, TPMS, remote keyless entry, power locks, tilt/telescopic steering, steering wheel mounted cruise and audio controls, power windows with driver auto-up/down and passenger (front and rear) auto-down, 6-way manual driver and front passenger seat, cloth seating surfaces, 60/40 split-folding rear seat with centre armrest, and six-speaker AM/FM/CD/MP3 audio with auxiliary input and USB port.
1SD package adds Bluetooth phone connectivity and wireless streaming, Buick IntelliLink with 7-inch touch screen display, automatic dual-zone climate control, fog lights, rear vision camera, remote vehicle starter, satellite radio, and leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter.
1SG package adds 6-way power driver seat, heated mirrors, auto-dimming rear view mirror, rear parking assist, rear cross traffic alert, and side blind zone alert.
1SL adds E-Z Key passive entry system, push button start, heated front seats, leather seating surfaces, heated steering wheel, 18-inch aluminum wheels, front passenger auto-up/down power window, and 9-speaker Bose premium audio system.
1ST package adds 2.0L turbocharged engine and dual exhaust with bright tips.
