The Envision is brand new to the Buick lineup for 2016, a compact crossover that gives the brand a model to compete with popular upscale models like the BMW X3 and Lexus RX.
In keeping with segment standards, Envision comes with a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder engine (252 hp/260 lb-ft of torque) incorporates idle stop/start technology to save fuel. A six-speed automatic transmission is standard, and Envision is the first Buick to use GM's new twin-clutch AWD system.
Buick hasn't published fuel consumption estimates yet, but we expect them to be something like 12.0/8.5 L/100 km (city/highway).
Buick hasn't announced all details of its newest crossover, but we know it comes standard with safety kit like GM's safety alert seat, front park assist, lane change alert, rear cross-traffic alert, and a following distance indicator. Adaptive cruise control and collision mitigation braking are available as options.
Other standard features include LED daytime running lights, rear LED accent lights, active grille shutters, heated front and rear seats and steering wheel, IntelliLink infotainment system with eight-inch screen, a 60/40 split rear seat that slides fore and aft, eight-way power front seats with four-way lumbar, tri-zone climate control with rear-seat controls, programmable power tailgate with hands-free operation, active noise cancellation, 19-inch aluminum wheels, and a premium Bose sound system. A panoramic sunroof and ventilated front seats are among the available options.
