Isle of Man Gets Track-Day Ready BAC Mono Police Car

Briggs Automotive's single-seat Mono is one of the wildest and most track-focused supercars around. But their newest car isn't focused on driving fast. It's focused on promoting safe and responsible driving, joining the Isle of Man police force.

BAC has had a long relationship with the Isle of Man government, taking advantage of the island's stunning roads, lack of speed limits, and the fact that the government will close roads for flat-out driving. But fast driving means that driving safely is even more important, so BAC wants to help keep the island's roads safe. That's why they've given the Isle of Man police a BAC Mono for promoting safe driving and entertaining tourists.

The 540 kg, 285 hp Mono gets full police livery and looks great in it. The car will be driven primarily by police constable, motorcyclist, and collision investigator Andy Greaves. Greaves will take the car to events, shows, and gatherings, spreading the word about road safety to other drivers and riders. Greaves said "every opportunity we get, we stop and talk to visitors. Having a show-stopper like a BAC Mono police car on the fleet makes that so much easier."

So if you're lucky enough to be driving on the Isle of Man, and you see the strangest police car you've ever seen? Stop by and PC Greaves will be happy to talk the island, the car, and safe driving.
