Chevy Shows a Pair of Special Edition Silverados

GM used this month's NASCAR Duck Commander 500 at Texas Motor Speedway to showcase a pair of special edition Silverado pickups.

The first, and the one released at the race, is the 2016 Silverado 1500 Rally Edition. This model has a monochromatic paint job with black hood stripes and hockey sticks on the side. Most of the chrome trim has been replaced with blacked out or body colour pieces. There are two versions, the Rally 1 available on double cab models, which has 20-inch wheels. The other, available on LT Z71 models with double or crew cabs, is called Rally 2 and comes with 22-inch black wheels and massive 4-inch diameter step rails.

The second is the Realtree edition, continuing Chevrolet's decade long relationship with the camouflage apparel company, available on Silverado 1500 crew cab LTZ Z71 configured trucks. This comes in black exterior paint only, with Realtree camouflage accents on the exterior, as well as embroidered head rests and camo interior features. It also has blacked out trim, bow ties, step rails and 20-inch wheels. The light bar in the photos doesn't come with the package though, but is a dealer installed accessory. It does have the Rancho shocks, all-terrain tires, skidplates, and locking rear differential that comes with the Z71 off road package.

Both special editions should be available at your Chevrolet dealer this spring.
