Cute Small Mercedes
Surprisingly very spacious and higher car. Really good on gas. Engine is little noisy on higher RPM. Transmission is very smooth. Interior is little simple. Sound (I have Harmon Karden) just amusing.
My wife loves this car because it cute and easy to drive/park.

A Swiss Army Kife but Poor Performance
As a five door ute they don't come any better in terms of styling, interior finish and looks. This car stacks up to any competitor in these departments. I own a 2009 B200 Turbo and love it. Peppy, responsive in all torque ranges. So, I thought, the newer model should be even better. A large letdown!! You would figure a 2.0 Turbo that puts out 200 hp and slightly more torque at a respectable rev level would be as eager as the B200. Not so. It fails to come our of corners in the proper gear and has no bottom end to get you started from stop. Very surprising and puzzling. It seems they have the gearing messed up and all that hp is wasted in the low to mid range of the acceleration curve. Better off with a pre-2013 model or go with a X1 or if you can stomach the repairs on a VW Tiguan. Overall.....disappointing.

Not a Canadian seasonal vehicle
Cold in winter with the heater not getting up to operating temps for almost 20 minutes in weather 10-15 below. When lower temps than that, wear a heavier coat. Then only if you shut the fan off for a few minutes. Door rubbers get stuck a lot and hard to open. The doors bend easy and gets clunky when closing. Heater noisy. Rough ride with oversteer when you use the turbo. Impossible on any type of ice or soft snow with winter grips. Gets stuck very easy. Definitely a summer vehicle only. Rides like a jeep and feels like a Benz. Very Very noisy. I thought it was good purchase. Lots of room inside. I came from a Jetta. Bad move.

Nice family car
I had this car only for few months.

Pros:
- It is very reactive for city driving
- Fully equiped even for base B200 model
- Visibility is nice (specially women will like this) it give a feeling of safety
- Very roomy

Cons:
- CVT transmission (I had no problem with it, but sometimes it can cause you issues)
- Suspension is no so smooth, not bad but defenetely not what you expect from a Mecedes-Benz
- Back seats are for kids manly or not long adults (still OK)
- Fuel economy not always what is declared (still less than 10l/100km even with winter tires)

Quality in a smaller size that's easy to park
Wow, really love this vehicle! First MB I've owned. Quality throughout. Very quiet on the road and the sunroof is like a convertible! Peppy (non turbo model) and plenty fast. CVT works great, no issues. I don't like using premium gas though but the gas mileage is very good, mid 30's in city and higher into 40's on highway (that's miles per imperial gallon). Dealership service is good, have to watch them though as they try to add on expensive and non essential 'service work' well before it is even required per maintenance guidelines. It is a unique vehicle you don't see on the road often and of course it was never sold in the USA making it even more unique.

it is ok
Very versatile, roomy for 4 adults or can pack in loads of stuff. Gas mileage always high , but requires premium. Excellent visibility with high seating position and big windows. Solid, quiet highway cruising.. Mercedes parts and service are quite expensive, Buyer should know this car has a short life ,door rust, gear problem $4500 to repair ,tyranny bad and costly so far (150k) has been un-reliable, after warranty...$$$.not worth the money

Fun to drive
The Standard 6 spd paired with the turbo makes for a fun car to drive, much better than the CVT auto which I also test drove when we bought the 6 spd. My wife really loves the standard. We loved the car so much we moved to a B250 for our next vehicle.

Likes: interior bike rack, 6 spd tranny, higher stance, heated seats, switching to Nokian All Weather tires, lots of room, more than you think, back seat leg room

Dislikes: rougher ride on run flats, turning radius could be better, having to say goodbye to our little B200 Turbo

Loved that car
I've never had a single issue with this car. I have it since 2009.
Super comfy, not too big, not too small, easy to park. The outside is a shiny blue. Love it!
It is a powerful car. Lights are always on and adjust themselves based on the outside degree of light.
Full tank is less than 55$ and you keep it forever.
I'm selling it because I barely drive it now that I live downtown.

2008 Mercedes-Benz B-Class

Trim: B200 Turbo
by DeltaOscarGolf on 04-26-2014
Surprising amount of room inside plus excellent performance = Great Value
Outstanding value - fantastic handling and acceleration, in a car that seats 4 adults comfortably.

With the 60/40 split fold-flat rear seats, a staggering amount of "stuff" can be transported, for something that isn't a minivan. The higher roof height means comfort for tall people, with decent leg room in the back. But it looks like a sub-compact from the outside! It is very deceiving.

My car has the AMG wheels and performance package, which does result in a very firm ride in the city, but it is terrific in the corners (or round-abouts if you have those in your area) and super stable and steady on the highway. The turbo gives excellent acceleration and allows passing with greater safety, as you are out, past and back in very quickly. Braking performance with big 4-wheel disks is excellent and easily controlled.

Fuel efficiency on the highway is quite good for a car with this much interior volume, as long as you are just cruising at the speed limits. Using the full power of the turbo by pushing the accelerator hard frequently will use more fuel, but that's a driving style choice you make.

And there is lots of good engineering - the seats are very comfy, lots of support, the controls are very easy to use.

Overall I am very happy with this car - lots of room, excellent performance and features, and all for a surprisingly affordable price in a high-quality used car.

So far so good! It's definitely a rare vehicle!
Well this is my first MB...and what a nice looking suv/van/car/ or whatever it is!
Mine is white with black interior, very well assembled, quality materials. Love that the battery is underneath the passenger's floor area!
Mine is the NON turbo, I find it has plenty of power with the CVT and it's very smooth. The ride isn't luxury smooth though, I have optional 17" rims/tires. Problems so far: The Lamella (sunroof) sunshade is broken, requires removal of the headliner! The drivers button for the window won't auto go up and there's a strange noise coming from the driver front wheel when it hits a dip in the road, like plastic rubbing on something.
Otherwise I like it, great fuel economy, especially if you know how to drive a CVT. It looks like nothing else on the road and looks like quality and cute all in one. Highly recommended.

A very responsible turbo engine give you plenty power than you need.
Good handling especially when you cut corner.
Looks small outside but have plenty room inside. I'm 6 feet tall but I feel very comfortable in the car. Big trunk, foldable second seat you can fit much bigger item than you thought.

Very pleased.
This is an exceptionally versatile design with a solid big car feel and interior space yet small car footprint - great for Vancouver's congested streets! Only wish it came with front and rear parking sensors or self park option like the B250. Love the Turbo / CVT in Sport mode. Very pleased - so far.

THE BEST OF THE BEST !!!...Its a Mercedes.
The best driving experience I've ever had, the handling is excellent, the seats height is perfect, the head room, the legroom, everywhere is tons of space, even you can lie down in the trunk. I have the power group, so everything is easy. The turbo engine is very good in gas and that is a surprise, very fuel efficient car with a big engine, 193 horses is more than enough!!!.I don't need anything else, this is the best car for me and my family, and the best thing of all, its a Mercedes.
