Ford Taurus 2001Change

We purchased this car used, with 37,000 kms on it. It had a couple of recalls, but aside from the heat and a/c, everything has performed beyond what you would normally expect of a Ford. It died today. It has over 300,000 kms on it, and until the past few months, has not needed anything other than maintenance and other upkeep you would need on any car at some point. This includes brakes, wheel bearings and hoses. The a/c didn't last long and after us driving it for 10 years, the heat wasn't fantastic either, but for the mileage we got from it, and the price we paid, we consider ourselves very lucky and hope to have the same quality with our next car.

I have owned many cars and this Taurus is the best, most reliable one I've ever owned. Loads of power, reasonably economic, spacious and comfortable.Even has power adjustable pedals for both the tall and short. Engine purrs like a kitten. Many more miles left in this vehicle at a small price.

This car will drive till you put a bullet in it. It's spacious and comfortable even if the round corners leave something to be desired aesthetically. Jus this year are we finally trading in this car and that's only because we need a van for all the kids we made in this car...lol

great on gas,good looking car,safe,air condintioner works good,nice high way ride and the car is all around just a good reliable car, heater works good and it defrost fast as well, peddles move for comfort, lots of room back seat goes down for big loads,and the radio works were other cars get no reception, i would drive this car from the east coast to the west without thinking about it, the car is very reliable , drives great in the snow

i liked this car> i bought it used and from the day i bought it i did not have to put many repairs into it. I put an alternator on and changed the brakes once .this car has over 225000 km and is still running strong

Just Lovely! Fulfilling and peace of mind giving! "Sportish" as well, depending on "race-driving styles" habits - Our "6 months old" loves it too. Very proud of it!

Had it for about one year, brake lines snapped while driving on highway, car suspension for rear right wheel broke, and fuel usage is huge.

Not very good.

ford is always been reliable for me love this car !! I have owned 2 now and when this car finally dies I fully intend to replace it with another newer model of Taurus

I own a 2001 ford taurus ... I gets me from point A to point B with above average reliability. The only mechanical defect I have found to make the car less than stellar is the transmission... Have had to have it serviced 3 times in the 2 yrs. I have owned it.

Very reliable daily driver , my wife travel to work 6 days a week no issuess or problems gas mileage id reasnable

We have had this car for 4 years and its only had minor issues with the brakes and tire alignment.. which mess up in time anyways but other then that no problems great car! Diamond in the rough.

Owned this car from 80,000 and three years old, to 240,000km and 11 years old. SO I totaled up 160,000km and 8 years on it.

Durring that time I had NO major work done on it. Reg maintenance and brakes, tires etc etc...

Great solid car! Did me well.
