This car is really good-looking and oozes confidence. I like the interior design and the performance of the engine. The only downside I see is the cost of the parts and the amount of fuel used.

Overall a good vehicle,. The gas mileage could be a bit better, but having the V8 engine makes it so. The rear seats can be a bit of a challenge to fold down, and there is a large gap between the two middle seats when folded down. If you have dogs I would recommend shoving a blanket or pillow in the gap, so they don't get their legs stuck. Good value.

I have had this car for about two years. It requires a fair amount of maintenance, but it is almost 20 years old. It is reliable though. I have never had it break down and leave me stranded.

Great car, rain or shine, summer or winter. Fits 3 young kids and has lots of room for cargo in the back. Love the powerful xenons, simple ergonomics, great seats. Enough power for my taste, this isn't a sports car - I didn't buy it for hard fast driving - works for my needs which are to transport family in a secure safe vehicle. Amazing on long rides. Just went past 200k in mileage. Got 2 Volvos - other one is a XC90. Volvo for life!

After driving the 960 Volvo, one will notice the difference in another vehicle. From the 3 stage custom select suspensiion, to the ease of steering to the awesome cornering ability on tight curves, the volvo 960 delivers. Leather interior, heated seats, and automatic windows round out this superior vehicle and gives one the comfort one expects in a high performance Volvo.

I have mixed feelings, but most are positive. The negative: gas use is fairly high at roughly 18-20 liters per 100km, the cost of some replacement parts is incredibly high and the worst of it all is the incredibly costly A/C Evaporator Leak repair. I would like to add that the driver's side car seat was originally extremely comfortable, but started to sag down after 10 years of use. On the plus side, it's built to last, safe and the original parts with a few exceptions generally last and extremely long time. The 850 is a solid safe and enjoyable to drive vehicle, but you'll pay to keep it in tip top shape.

Enjoyed the comfort, safety and stability.
Repairs were cheap when necessary.
An aesthetic only few would enjoy.

190,000 km, still runs excellently - no major problems and we still use the car like a mini-truck.

Truly a tank on the road

So not my car it's my moms, but I drive it quite a bit when I'm not driving my car and I love it!

So she bought it from the original owner for $1800 with 337,000K and it now has 357,000 and drives great, the transmission still works well, the engine is super reliable and sounds amazing.

The headlights are amazing especially the high-beams... the ride is smooth and you barely feel the bumps, seasons are ultra comfy, sound system is great, the styling I think is timeless, it's also really quiet on the highway, it's quite great on gas too, we use regular and runs fine.

I do have a few "gripes" first; the battery is in the trunk and it's way to complicated to get access too. The leather on the gear selected and e-break rip to easily, the AWD has stopped working but not an issue really.

Problems with the car; there's some electrical issues like when you open the door and sit down the seat will move up to my moms last position and it crushes me between the seat and the wheel, also the drivers side mirror goes all the way in so we always have to reset it. Sunroof doesn't work. Drivers side window broke too.

But overall I'd seriously recommend this car, I'm currently saving for one or a Volvo XC90 (2.5T AWD only) .. I'm 19 and insurance on a 2007 XC70 would only be $140 a month ... my Audi A6 insurance is $241 a month so a hundred dollars difference.

i think volvo 122s is a good car and it is the most car usful in the world because of the fast that it have and very economic

I found mine with only 4k kms travelled that had only been driven by Volvo execs. She is equipped with the rare 6-speed manual, and has been very reliable. Other than regular maintenance, all I have had to do is recent tires and brakes. The hardtop convertible is such a nice feature in that most of the time she is just a regular coupe, but it is so easy to lower the top when the sun shows up. None of the problems that you would have with a softtop. The trunk is quite large and is quite useable even with the top stowed in the trunk. Very happy with my purchase.

This is the best car I owned. The amount of luxury for the price is incredible. Volvos are built like tanks and I never had any issue with this car. I would highly recommend this car to my family and friends. The only downside is the fuel economy.

I dont regret this purchase at all.. if I needed to I would do it all over again I really enjoy this car.. I dont even want to trade it in

Awesome leather seats I think the best I have ever sat in. I have good in many road trips with the car and always impressed.

I drive 75 km each way to work and car does that easily. I have put 100000 km in last 2years.

Bad thing, volvos depreciate in price very fast but the parts always stay extremely expensive and very hard to find

A face only a mother could love, would be appropriate to describe this vehicle. However, what it lacks in good looks, it makes up with reliability, comfort, and safety.

The Volvo 740 has gotten me through a time in my life, when I needed it most - college. She was there to make the long hauls, and carry all my friends.

I have owned 4 of the 240 Volvo sedans. They require very little maintenance and are built as solid as a tank. I have owned my recent 240 DL for over 27 years. The one I had previously saved my life. I was side T-boned from the passenger side and hit head on with the oncoming car. The car was a total write off, but I managed to walk away without a scratch. Thank-you to Volvo for building something to last in an age when so much is disposable.

This is one of the best cars I have had, never a mechanic problem.

Is Very Fast and comfortable......

First reviewed in 2014. Two years later it has gone from 230,000 km to 270,000 km. In the last two years replaced the heater blower motor and the flange bolts between the catalytic converter and the rest of the exhaust system (flange bolts rusted away and caused the exhaust pipes to separate but this was a cheap fix and original exhaust still in excellent condition). Car still running and looking like new, gives a great comfortable and smooth ride. Fantastic in the snow and for hauling stuff. Still have no good reason to replace it.

I have been driving this car for nearly 15 years now. Overall I am pretty happy with it. Unfortunately though reading a lot of forums online, there seem to be a common issue that the "electricals" don't work so well on the vehicle. Lights will burn out faster than they normally do, powered windows may sometimes stop responding, AC may crap out. And I"ve had some issue with the transmission where I had to do a few repair on it. Fuel economy is not bad, but European cars are never really known for that aspect. So those are the down sides...

Upside is that the car is super safe. A few times I got into minor accidents or when I got hit, the car barely had any dents in it while the other vehicle suffers a lot more damage than my s60 did. And the styling of the car I must say is still pretty descent even in today's standard!

I drive the s60 for many years, and it is a very comfortable, sporty and elegant ride, and last but not least its very safe, for this are the cars well known, you will have a really good feeling sitting in it and driving it, it is a sleeper, nobody knows that it has a Lot of power.

Safe, reliable, fast, stylish and very comfortable! My Volvo is nothing short of a quality car. I'm 6'1" tall and can fit comfortably in the back seats, sitting up straight. The hatch is handy and the rear seats fold down to give you lots of cargo room. The BLIS system is handy. You can tell how well the car is made just by opening the door. It's heavy because it's made it Boron Steel. I have confidence I'll live if I'm ever in a wreck, even at highway speeds just because of the way the car is made and all of the safety features Volvo puts in their vehicles compared to other manufacturers. I've had my C30 for 3 years and still love it as much as the day I bought it, if not more.

This car has been so good to me. It is fun to drive and has been very reliable. People always comment to me what a nice looking car it is. I have to agree, after all, I bought the thing. I don't usually get too attached to my cars but it will be tough to get rid of this one if I ever do.

Our V70 has been a solid family car. We have been on many long road trips with our kids from baby through the toddler years in this car; we always managed to fit all the gear in the back and were still able to ride in comfort.
