My RVR
I had this vehicule for almost 4 years now and I love it. It's very reliable and I like the way it drive. I had no problem with it! The fuel economy is very good for a vehicule of the size. The interior is very spacious and well design. I would recommend it.

It has needed a few repairs, exhaust leak, caliper replacement ($$), E-brake adjustment, etc. All in all, good little car.

Awesome little car
I can fit more into it than I ever could in my Mazda 3. It's super fuel-efficient, even in the manual transmission - it only costs $30 to fill on a bad day. One up from the base model it comes with power windows and locks, AC, heated seats and USB music input. Even with summer tires, I've never gotten stuck anywhere in a Canadian winter. If I ever was, I'm sure it's light enough that four or five guys could lift it out of the ditch!

Great Car
This car is great for first time car drivers. Very reliable and lots of room. Bluetooth capable. Smooth drive. The interior is outdated in opinion for a 2014 model but if thats not your main concern in a car than it is great.

Very Solid Vehicle
this was my very first vehicle and I have no regret getting it. The car performs up to my expectation and so far it has been very reliable. I have registered around 100k km in 7 years. The only thing that is broken now is the left power mirror. Everything else runs fine and the car still runs great.

2016 Mitsubishi RVR

Awesome wheels BUT...
I'm very happy with my RVR. It's sporty but classy; easy to drive; great size; and comfortable.
But music is VERY important to me as I drive far to work everyday. I love to listen to my own music from my iPhone. The connectivity with the iPhone is TERRIBLE. The car is all over the place with the music functionality. Sometimes it can't read the phone. Sometimes it doesn't play the right song. Sometimes it just skips songs randomly. It doesn't recognize when I ask to play a specific song through the Bluetooth. Sometimes it will say a certain song is playing but that's not actually the song and then it just ends and goes onto another one. There's no album artwork and it doesn't tell you how long the song is.
And when I'm using my phone for calls, the display screen is AWFUL. It doesn't even tell me who's calling or who I'm talking to...just the number. And in this day, am I really expected to remember everyone's numbers? The screen is just blank until I press a button or turn up the volume, then it displays something for a few seconds and then goes away. It should be more descriptive than that.
It's really a shame because it's 2016 and this shouldn't even be a problem. My 2012 Kia had better connectivity than this. I truly hope there's an update for the system that fixes all these problems because that would make this vehicle perfect!
For being a Japanese made vehicle, I expected the level of technology to be higher.

2012 Mitsubishi Outlander

by debbie2016 on 08-04-2016
cheap but not good quality
we had our car for 4 years (drive less than 4k km). the interior material is really cheap. The steering wheel started to wear out after 4 year of use. We thought it should be covered under warranty (5 year warranty), but it got denied. the reason was it must be something on our hands when we were driving. we didn't do anything different when we had our Subaru for 7 years, the interior still looks new if it's clean for Subaru. it made it's hard to believe the steering wheel would peel off because of our hands, who doesn't use steering use when you are driving. However, the price started cheap compared with other SUV though.

Never buy again Mitsubishi
The worst vehicle. After 4 years all the problems start showing up!
No reliable car. I can't use my Mitsubishi outlander to drive long distance. I have been only one driver, never on the accident. No Fuel Economy, almost 12.5 litter per 100 KM. It takes longer than any other car to accelerate when you enter the HWY.

Very Happy With This Car
We have driven this car for 3 years now and we are very satisfied. We particularly like the styling, especially the Shark Nose. The 18" wheels give it lots of clearance in snow drifts. Performance is quite quick if you use the manual shift. Acceleration suffers in automatic when shifting from low to 2nd. The CVT can be a bit noisy on hard acceleration. Reliability is excellent, but maintenance is key. This is not a really car, but it is quite nimble in city traffic. All in all we are very happy with our purchase.

Super reliable and good car
Super reliable car if well taken care of. I drive this car daily. Its been almost 5 years old and nothing went wrong. Always used synthetic oil and regular transmission oil change. Only did the brakes once since i have almost 100000km on it. I have owned many different brands but this one is by far the most reliable car i have owned. Gas milage is good and even better after i did the spark plugs, loud engine but only going up the hill. People are complaining about power but this is not a sports car. I also have an acura tl SHAWD that things goes but you pay the price at the pump.

Buy it as a 2nd car for regular use will love it

Great Car
There is really no car that matches up to the Lancer GTS for the price. It looks sporty/sharp, great torque up to 100km/h, Maintenance free, and the mileage is nothing to complain about. If you are looking for a reliable car with a little bit of edge, look no farther. The Lancer GTS is yours from about $8,000 - $14,000 used.

average at best
love the sporty aggressive body lines of the car.
hate the outdated and generally cheap looking interior.
the GT model has all black leather, upgraded sound system, and sunroof. all of these features are great and are must haves if your not getting a ralliart/evo.
if your buying a SE model, don't waste your money.
in terms of gas mileage, it is poor compared the cars in its class. takes $50-60 to fill and get 580-630km a take.
the biggest complaints I have about this car is the road noise and the CVT engine. 0-60 the car is overly fast. quite sluggish. this is on par with pretty much every complaint about the car.

2013 Mitsubishi Lancer

Wow
The boxier, more upright look, and the distinctive shark-snout front end look refreshingly different. Steering is also nice and direct, while handling is crisp and responsive. Plus, there's back-seat space for adults. Driving enjoyment is another big plus. The engine is perky at lower speeds with the five-speed manual. You get plenty of power and torque to move with confidence.

2008 Mitsubishi Outlander

by Outlander6345 on 08-16-2015
Love my Outlander
I have owned my 2008 Outlander since new and aside from road abrasion on the front of the rear fenders, I have not had a single problem after 160,000 KM. It is the most reliable and most capable car I have ever owned, and I have owned many cars. The 2.4 l engine with its variable valve timing is quite adequate and the CVT transmission is smooth and accurate. Living in BC, I downshift often to control the speed and it handles it easily. Last year I was getting nervous having not replaced the brake pads ever. I did the replacement but I needn't have as the old pads still had tons of material. Mileage is good with 9l/100 city and 8l/100 HW. I love the ability to select FWD, 4WD, and 4WD locked diff. AWC works great too if I get on ice or any other slick surface. ABS also works well. I am always impressed by the smooth ride, the quiet cabin and the great sounding sound system. Cargo room is outstanding and even better with the rear seats down. The split tailgate is very handy for heavy items although I notice MIT has discontinued this on newer versions. Unfortunate. If I were to buy another car, it would be an Outlander, but I love this car so much that won't happen anytime soon. If you find a nice one, buy it. You won't be sorry.

2004 Mitsubishi Outlander

Great AWD system
Owning my 2004 Mitsubishi Outlander made me fall deeply in love with full-time AWD.

The 2.4L I4 engine had a decent combination of power and fuel economy, even with the full-time AWD system, averaging around 11L/100km.

I loved the ride & handling of this vehicle and would still own it if it had not had so many issues, due to it's age, mileage & overall durability.

Features were on the basic side with plastic everywhere, but the stereo sounded reasonably good and the controls were well laid-out and functional.

The rear control arms had both been bent, causing rear wheel toe-out which causes very twitchy rear handling. I was told but an independent mechanic that this was fairly common on that model & once replaced with stronger rear control arms, the vehicle felt incredibly planted and stable. With a decent set of snow tires this thing was unstoppable!

In 2012 the power steering failed, the flex pipe corroded and the A/C failed.

Great fast, fun & reliable car!
I currently own my 2nd Lancer, I love the design, speed, control, comfort and style of this car. My first car was a 5-speed with a sunroof and when I upgraded, I switched to an automatic, but wasn't able to get the sunroof that year. The automatic is much more practical for winter in Saskatchewan, but in the future I would by another 5 speed just to have as a summer car! :)
