Volvo's XC90 was the brand's first entry into the world of the crossover back in the early 2000s and the model's popularity has been massive ever since. The second-generation of the three-row model, Volvo's largest, was introduced in 2016 and the automaker has continued to make small changes every year since then.
After enhancing the range of the T8 plug-in hybrid model and adding a new grille last year, for 2021 Volvo offers new interior materials like a wool blend. Wireless charging is also included on all models.

Standard driver assistance includes adaptive cruise control, slippery road alert, front and rear park assist, road sign information, lane-keeping aid, and oncoming lane collision mitigation. It also includes blind spot information with steering assist and cross traffic alert.
Inscription adds Nappa leather and unique interior trimmings including colour-coordinated seams, 20-inch alloys, and an Inscription front grille. The front seats have power bolsters and ventilation. Harman Kardon premium audio is also included.
R-Design is meant to look more sporting and adds gloss black exterior details, special wheels, sporty chassis tuning, and a unique interior with Nubuck and Nappa leather. It adds an electric cabin heater for faster heating on a cold morning.
