For 2012, the Volvo XC90 adds numerous standard features, including power heated seats, streaming audio, rear park assist, rear a/c and new wood inlays. The R-Design adds new wheels and roof rails. There are also new trim levels.

The XC90 uses a 3.2-litre inline six-cylinder engine with six-speed automatic transmission and electronically-controlled all-wheel drive.

Features on the 3.2 include 18-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, three-row leather seats, power-adjustable front seats with driver’s side memory, rear a/c, rear park assist, classic walnut wood inlays, Bluetooth connectivity with audio streaming, auto-dimming rearview mirror, integrated second-row child booster seat, power rear door child safety locks, tilt and telescopic leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls, silver roof rails, headlight washers, heated mirrors with puddle lamps and integrated turn signals, privacy glass, CD stereo, Sirius satellite radio, floor mats, outside temperature gauge, auto up/down front windows, trip computer and variable intermittent wipers.

The 3.2 Premier Plus adds power sunroof, active dual xenon headlamps, compass, grocery bag holder, garage door opener, and walnut wood gearshift knob.

The 3.2 Platinum adds premium sound system, rear park assist camera and navigation system.

The 3.2 R-Design builds on the 3.2 and adds 20-inch alloy wheels, power sunroof, active dual xenon headlamps, sport-tuned suspension and steering, self-levelling rear suspension, and R-Design exterior styling, grille, floor mats, upholstery, steering wheel and instrument dials.

The 3.2 R-Design Premier Plus adds compass, garage door opener and grocery bag holder.

The 3.2 R-Design Platinum adds premium sound system, rear park assist camera and navigation system.
