This year marks a makeover for Volvo's entry-level crossover, with refreshed styling and new communications and entertainment technology. Engine choices are carried over from 2013, and consist of a 3.2L inline six making 240 hp and 236 lb-ft of torque, and a 3.0L turbocharged inline six good for 300 hp and 325 lb-ft in T6 models, and 325 hp and 354 lb-ft in R-Design trim. A six-speed automatic transmission is standard with each, but the turbo model gets a driver-adaptive sport mode. 3.2L models are front-drive and can be optioned to AWD, and 3.0L turbo cars get AWD as standard.
3.2L models can be had in four trim levels ? base, Premier, Premier Plus and Platinum; 3.0L turbo versions are offered as base, Premier Plus and Platinum, in T6 AWD or R-Design designations.
Standard features in base trim include city safety, safe approach and home safe lighting, security system and immobilizer, whiplash protection seats, black roof rails and side window trim, power locks and keyless entry with locking fuel filler, front and rear skid plates, outside temperature gauge, heated outside mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, rear wiper/washer, steering-wheel mounted audio controls, B-pillar ventilation for second-row passengers, brushed aluminum inlays, cruise control, dual-zone climate control, 40/20/40 split-folding rear seat, front centre armrest, heated front seats, lighted glove box and vanity mirrors, locking cargo floor storage, leather-trimmed shifter and steering wheel, eight-way power driver's seat with memory and lumbar, power windows with front auto up/down, tilt-and-telescopic steering, Sensus with seven-inch colour high-definition screen, eight-speaker, 16-watt stereo with auxiliary and USB inputs, and Bluetooth with streaming audio, and ?T-Tec? seat surfaces.
Premier trim adds keyless drive with personal car communicator, garage door opener, silver roof rails and side window trim, dark tint rear windows, panoramic sunroof, TFT gauge cluster, auto-dimming rearview mirror, eight-way power front passenger seat, and leather seats.
Premier Plus models bring a backup camera, power tailgate, cargo cover, compass in rearview mirror, grocery bag holder, power-folding rear head restraints, quick-fold front passenger seat, and a 12-volt power outlet in cargo area.
Base T6 models get keyless drive and personal car communicator, silver roof rails and side window trim, dark-tint rear windows, panoramic sunroof, TFT gauge cluster, auto-dimming rearview mirror, paddle shifters, and power front passenger seat.
R-Design models comes in full-body colour coordination and get unique interior and exterior treatments, side scuff plates, and an R-Design-specific gauges cluster.
