NEW FOR 2011:

For 2011, the Subaru Impreza WRX STI undergoes several changes, including the introduction of a wide-body four-door sedan alongside the four-door hatchback, marking the first time that the WRX STI has been available in two body styles. Major chassis upgrades include a retuned suspension with higher-rate springs, thicker stabilizer bars and new bushings. Other changes include new, lighter 18-inch wheels with high-lustre paint, enlarged tailpipes, larger grille, and revised audio system with Bluetooth connectivity and iPod integration.
All Impreza models also receive larger rear head restraints, for improved occupant protection. There are also changes to the 2.5i option packages. A new 2.5i Convenience Package adds 16-inch alloy wheels, advanced CD/MP3/WMA sound system, two tweeters, Bluetooth connectivity and streaming audio, iPod and USB integration, steering wheel-mounted Bluetooth and audio controls, and leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear shifter. The Sport Package now includes the advanced CD/MP3/WMA stereo, Bluetooth connectivity and streaming audio, steering wheel-mounted controls, and iPod and USB audio integration, while the Limited Package adds the new sound system, Bluetooth connectivity, and integrated steering wheel controls.
The Impreza covers a very broad range of vehicles. In four-door configuration, the model is available as the 2.5i, with 2.5-litre horizontally-opposed four-cylinder engine and five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission, and as the WRX, with turbocharged and intercooled 2.5-litre four-cylinder and five-speed manual. In four-door hatchback configuration, it comes as the 2.5i and WRX. In both configurations, it comes as the WRX STI, with high-pressure turbocharged and intercooled 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine and six-speed manual transmission. All are all-wheel drive, with a multi-mode driver-controlled centre differential on the WRX STI.
Trim levels are the 2.5i, 2.5i Sport Package and 2.5i Limited Package; the WRX and WRX Limited; and the WRX STI and Sport-Tech Package.
Features on the 2.5i include 16-inch steel wheels, air conditioning, CD/MP3/WMA stereo with auxiliary input, cruise control, tilt steering wheel, vanity mirrors, power windows with driver’s auto-down, heated mirrors, auto-off headlamps, variable intermittent wipers, anti-theft alarm, floor mats, cloth seats, six-way manual driver’s seat, and 60/40 split-folding rear seat. The hatchback adds cargo hooks, roofline spoiler and fixed intermittent rear wiper.
The 2.5i Convenience Package adds 16-inch alloy wheels, advanced CD/MP3/WMA sound system with four speakers, two door-mounted tweeters, voice-activated Bluetooth connectivity, steering wheel-mounted Bluetooth and audio controls, Bluetooth streaming audio, iPod and USB integration, and leather-wrapped steering wheel and gearshift lever.
The 2.5i Sport Package adds Sirius satellite radio, stainless steel exhaust tips, fog lamps, power sunroof, ground effects, rear spoiler, windshield wiper de-icer, heated seats, and leather-wrapped wheel with audio controls.
The 2.5i Limited Package adds 17-inch alloy wheels, automatic climate control, iPod and USB integration, and leather rally-style seats.
The WRX builds on the 2.5i and adds 17-inch alloy wheels, automatic climate control, larger brakes, sport-tuned suspension, rear stabilizer bar, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, hood scoop, electroluminescent gauges, cloth rally-style seats, fixed rear seat with folding centre armrest, stereo auxiliary input, aluminum sport pedals, and leather-wrapped wheel.
The WRX Limited adds premium six-CD/MP3/WMA stereo, Sirius satellite radio, iPod and USB integration, steering wheel-mounted audio controls, fog lights, power sunroof, and leather seats.
The WRX STI builds on the WRX and adds 18-inch alloy wheels, Brembo high-performance brakes, STI performance-tuned suspension, selectable SI-drive, cargo cover, premium six-CD/MP3/WMA stereo with auxiliary input, heated mirrors with integrated turn signals, xenon headlamps with manual level, heated leather and Alcantara seats, and STI three-spoke wheel. The WRX STI sedan adds a rear wing spoiler.
The WRX STI Sport Tech package adds auxiliary input for audio/visual source, wheel-mounted audio controls, Bluetooth hands-free connectivity, navigation system, touch-screen monitoring system, Sirius satellite radio, and power sunroof.
