NEW FOR 2010:
- Redesigned model
For 2010, the Mitsubishi Outlander is redesigned. The 3.0-litre V6 is now more powerful, and the XLS receives new Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC) with an active front differential. The all-wheel drive models also offer hill start assist.
Most of the remaining changes are in styling: a new, Evolution-inspired front end, and new mirrors, headlamps, hood, fenders, rear fascia, seat fabric, instrument cluster and sun visors.
The LS models receive integrated turn signals in the mirrors and a new security alarm with motion sensor, while the XLS gains aero-style wiper blades, chrome-accented side sill extensions, and new fog lamps, 18-inch wheel design, and upper dash panel and door trim.
The optional Sun & Sound Package upgrades the Rockford-Fosgate stereo and adds the new security alarm, while the Navigation & Entertainment Package adds Real-Time Traffic.
The Mitsubishi Outlander comes with a choice of two engines. The 2.4-litre four-cylinder with CVT is used on the ES, in front- or all-wheel drive. The 3.0-litre V6 with six-speed automatic is used in the LS, which is all-wheel drive, and the XLS, which uses the new S-AWC. The ES is five-passenger, while the LS and XLS have three-row seating.
Features on the ES FWD include 16-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, auto-off headlamps, mesh grille with black surround, heated mirrors, black roof rails, variable intermittent wipers, intermittent rear wiper, leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls, heated cloth seats, 60/40 split fold-and-tumble second-row seats, dual glovebox, cargo cover, floor mats, electronic brake force distribution, active front head restraints, anti-theft alarm, tire pressure monitoring system, CD/MP3 stereo with auxiliary input, keyless entry, and trip computer.
The ES AWD adds hill start assist.
The LS adds heated mirrors with integrated turn signals, fog lights, 60/40 split-folding second-row seat with slide adjusters, stowable third-row seat, security alarm with motion sensor, and proximity key.
The XLS adds 18-inch alloy wheels, automatic climate control, automatic xenon headlamps, mesh grille with chrome surround, silver skid plate extension, silver-painted roof rails, rain-sensing wipers with flat aero wiper blades, side sill extensions with chrome accent, heated leather seats, power driver’s seat, floor console box with leather armrest, soft-touch instrument panel pad, double-stitch door trim accents, active front differential, six-CD Rockford Fosgate premium sound system, Sirius satellite radio, steering wheel-mounted shifter paddles, high-contrast gauge meters with full colour display, and power sunroof.
