The Mercedes-Benz SLC-Class is the final evolution of a car that started out as the SLK-Class in the late 1990s. Benz renamed the car the SLC in 2017.
What's New / Key Changes from Last Year
This year will be the SLC's last, so Mercedes is sending the car off with an optional final edition package dressed up in extra black and chrome trim, special wheels, and a black and silver leather interior.
Mercedes-Benz offers this roadster in SLC 300 and AMG SLC 43 trims. The SLC 300 uses a 2.0L turbo four-cylinder, and the SLC 43 gets a turbo 3.0L V6. Both engines have a 9-speed automatic transmission.
The SLC 300 comes with a folding hard roof, an AMG body kit, a Nappa leather steering wheel, shift paddles, 18-inch wheels, dark aluminum trim, side mirror logo projectors, power seats, automatic climate control, artico upholstery, a power-adjustable steering column, heated seats, heated side mirrors with power-fold, power windows, a 7.0-inch infotainment display, a 6-speaker stereo, Bluetooth, and satellite radio.
Standard safety features include blind spot assist, attention assist, LED daytime running lights and taillights, an electric parking brake, adaptive braking, tire pressure loss warning, rain-sensing wipers and heated windshield washers.
AMG SLC 43 adds performance brakes, AMG suspension and exhaust, automatic high beams, LED headlights, Nappa leather seating, and ambient interior lighting.
A premium package adds roof-down turbulence reduction, a sunroof built into the folding top, dual-zone climate control, active LED headlights with automatic high beams (SLC 300 only), Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and passive keyless entry.
An AMG SLC 43 premium pack adds parking assist. There's also a driver's package of a limited slip differential, an analog clock, tire pressure monitoring, a performance steering wheel, and red brake calipers.
Mercedes-Benz's fuel consumption estimates are 10.0/7.3 L/100 km (city/highway) for the SLC 300, and 11.8/8.2 for the AMG SLC 43.
