Lexus' compact sport coupe returns for 2016 with a new RC 300 model powered by a new version of the brand's familiar 3.5L V6 tuned for 255 hp and 236 lb-ft of torque.
The RC 300 joins the RC 350 with its own 3.5L V6 (307 hp/277 lb-ft) and the high-performance RC F, powered by a 5.0L V8 that makes 467 hp and 389 lb-ft. Six-cylinder models share a six-speed automatic transmission and AWD, while the RC F gets an eight-speed automatic and rear-wheel drive.
Fuel consumption figures are 12.6/9.2 L/100 km (city/highway) for the RC 300 and RC 350, and 15.2/9.5 for the RC F.
Standard features include intelligent keyless entry, dual-zone automatic climate control, TFT gauge cluster, auto-levelling LED headlights, heated steering wheel, eight-way power front seats with heat and ventilation functions, frameless rearview mirror, navigation, backup camera, 10-speaker stereo, selectable drive modes, 19-inch wheels, heated side mirrors, sunroof, blind spot monitor, lane change assist, rear cross traffic alert, and smart stop technology.
The RC F includes parking assist, radar cruise control, retractable rear spoiler, and a sport grille and hood scoop.
Pricing starts with the RC 300's $48,350, and ranges to $90,550 for the RC F with an optional performance package.
