The Driver’s Convenience Group of Uconnect hands-free communication, Sirius satellite radio, garage door opener, and overhead console with exterior temperature gauge and compass is available on the Sport and North models, and all models can be optioned with rear parking assist. Sharing its platform with the Dodge Nitro, the Jeep Liberty uses a 3.7-litre V6 with four-speed automatic transmission. Trim levels are the Sport, the Canada-exclusive North Edition, Limited and Jet. It uses Command-Trac II, a part-time, shift-on-the-fly four-wheel drive system, and can be optioned to Selec-Trac II, an active full-time four-wheel system. Features on the Sport include 16-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, cloth seats, fold-flat front passenger seat, 60/40 split-folding rear seat, hill start assist, power windows, keyless entry, tilt steering column, cruise control, Media Centre 130 CD/MP3 stereo with auxiliary input and six speakers, flip-up liftgate glass, and tire pressure monitoring lamp. The North adds fog lamps, cargo cover, deep-tint glass, temperature gauge, compass, black side roof rails, security alarm, and leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls. The Limited adds 17-inch alloy wheels, heated six-way driver and two-way passenger power-adjustable leather seats, Uconnect hands-free phone, Sirius satellite radio, eight Infinity speakers with subwoofer, bright grille, mouldings and roof rails, tire pressure monitoring display, driver’s side memory, remote starter and garage door opener. The Jet adds 20-inch alloy wheels, black headlamp bezels, and chrome mirror caps.
