2011 Jeep Liberty

NEW FOR 2011:

• New available Media Centre with Garmin navigation

For 2011, the Jeep Liberty is unchanged, except for a new available option: a Media Centre with DVD/CD/MP3 and hard disc drive, and Garmin navigation. The system includes an auxiliary input, USB port, voice command, 30-GB hard drive and album artwork.

Sharing its platform with the Dodge Nitro, the Jeep Liberty uses a 3.7-litre V6 with four-speed automatic transmission. Trim levels are the Sport, the Canada-exclusive North Edition, Renegade, and Limited. The Sport, North Edition and Limited use Command-Trac II, a part-time, shift-on-the-fly four-wheel drive system. These can be optioned to Selec-Trac II, an active full-time four-wheel system that is standard on the Renegade.

Features on the Sport include 16-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, flip-up liftgate glass, body-colour grille, automatic headlamps, heated mirrors, black body side moulding, variable intermittent wipers, intermittent rear washer/wiper, reversible cargo floor panel with storage tray, keyless entry, floor mats, CD/MP3 stereo with auxiliary input, two-tone Stain Repel cloth seats, fold-flat front passenger seat, 60/40 split-folding and reclining second-row seatbacks, tilt steering column, illuminated vanity mirrors, driver’s auto-down window, tip start, hill descent control, hill start assist, active front head restraints, and tire pressure monitoring system.

The North Edition adds fog lamps, privacy glass, black roof rack side rails, compass, exterior temperature display, cargo cover, cruise control, and security alarm.

The Renegade adds Selec-Trac II active full-time system, skid plates, deep-tint glass, and unique exterior appearance.

The Limited builds on the North Edition and adds 17-inch alloy wheels, bright grille, bright body side moulding, bright roof rack side rails, overhead console, vehicle information centre, garage door opener, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, six-way driver and two-way passenger power-adjustable heated leather seats, driver’s side memory, Sirius satellite radio, leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls, UConnect phone, auto up/down front windows, and remote starter.
