2022 Jeep Cherokee

Issue: 
On certain vehicles, the recall repairs completed by an FCA dealer during recall 95B (Transport Canada recall no. 2024-566) may not be effective. As a result, another repair is required. 

On certain vehicles, there could be a problem inside the high-voltage battery that can cause a fire, even while parked with the ignition off. 
Note: This recall only affects 4xe plug-in hybrid (PHEV) models. This recall replaces Transport Canada recall no. 2024-566. 

Safety Risk: 
The vehicle could catch fire, even while parked and turned off. 

Corrective Actions: 
To reduce the safety risk, FCA advises not to charge your vehicle, and to park it outdoors and away from other vehicles or structures until the recall repairs have been completed. FCA Canada will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the high-voltage battery pack software. If necessary, the battery pack will be replaced.

Issue:
On certain vehicles, a software problem in the hybrid control processor could cause a loss of power to the wheels. 
Note: This recall only affects plug-in hybrid (PHEV) models.  
 
Safety Risk: 
A sudden loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. 
 
Corrective Actions: 
FCA Canada will notify owners in writing. The corrective actions for this recall are under development.

Issue: 
On certain vehicles, the recall repairs completed by an FCA dealer during recall B9A (Transport Canada recall no. 2023-627) may not be effective. As a result, a second repair is required. 

On certain vehicles, there could be a problem inside the high-voltage battery that can cause a fire, even while parked with the ignition off. 
Note: This recall only affects 4xe plug-in hybrid (PHEV) models. This recall replaces Transport Canada recall no. 2023-627. 

Safety Risk: 
The vehicle could catch fire, even while parked and turned off.

On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the rearview camera image not to appear on the display. Canadian regulations require the rearview image to display when the transmission is shifted into reverse gear. 
Note: For the Grand Cherokee model, this recall affects 2022-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2021-2023 Grand Cherokee L models.

Safety Risk: 
A rearview camera image that doesn't display could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash. 

Corrective Actions: 
FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the radio software.

Issue: 
On certain vehicles, a problem with the steering column control module could cause the turn signal lever not to work properly when it's used to signal a right turn. 

Safety Risk: 
A turn signal that doesn't work properly could cause a person not to recognize when a driver intends to turn or change lanes and increase the risk of a crash. 

Corrective Actions: 
FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the steering column control module.
