History/Overview

Introduced in 2020, the Venue is Hyundai’s smallest crossover model. At its introduction, it replaced the Accent as the brand’s least expensive vehicle overall.

What’s New/Key Changes From Last Year

The Venue’s most significant update for 2023 is the elimination of a six-speed manual transmission for the entry-grade Essential trim level; now, all Venue trims come with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT).

Available Trims

Hyundai offers the Venue in Essential, Preferred and Ultimate trim levels. All are powered by a 1.6L four-cylinder engine, which, as mentioned above, now comes exclusively with an automatic CVT.

Standard Features

Venue Essential comes with 15-inch steel wheels with covers, auto on/off headlights, keyless entry, and heated side mirrors. Inside, there are heated front seats, an 8.0-inch touchscreen, and manual A/C.

The Venue’s standard safety package comprises lane keep assist, forward collision mitigation, driver attention warning, and automatic high beams.

Preferred trim adds alloy wheels, roof rails, a heated/leather-trimmed steering wheel, passive keyless entry, rear cross traffic alert, lane change assist, and blind spot monitoring.

Ultimate models gain 17-inch wheels, LED headlights, cloth/leatherette seats, automatic A/C, and a sunroof.

Fuel Economy

Hyundai’s fuel consumption estimates for the Venue are 7.9/6.9 L/100 km (city/highway).

Competition

The Hyundai Venue goes up against the Nissan Kicks, Kia Soul, Kia Rio, and Mitsubishi Mirage.
