Model Overview
The Hyundai Venue subcompact crossover takes its name from any place where things happen – and it comes along as big things are happening in the small crossover segment. This is a stylish model that replaces the Accent at the entry-level end of Hyundai’s lineup. The Venue is only offered with FWD in a bid to keep the price low, proving along the way that a vehicle with personality doesn’t have to cost a lot of money.

Issue:
On certain vehicles, there may be a problem with the driver and front passenger seat belt pretensioners. As a result, the seat belt pretensioners could explode in a crash. If this happens, small pieces of metal could hit people in the vehicle.
Note: This recall replaces recall R0200 (Transport Canada Recall No. 2021-627) for Venue models. Vehicles that were repaired under that recall also require this repair.
Safety Risk:
A seat belt pretensioner that explodes could create a risk of injury.
Corrective Actions:
Hyundai will notify owners by mail and instruct you to bring your vehicle to a dealership to install protective caps over the driver and front passenger's seat belt pretensioners.
