2020 Ford F-450

For 2020, Ford's biggest pickup, the F-450, gets a facelift like the rest of its Super Duty brethren. That bold grille allows for more air to cool the engine and its components, and the new headlights offer improved nighttime lighting. If you need to tow something really big but aren't ready to make the jump to a semi-truck, then this dual-rear-wheel-only truck is going to be high on your list.

Available Trims

The F-450 is available with a regular cab or four-door crew cab, both offering an 8-foot bed. Regular cab buyers can pick from XL or XLT trims, while crew cab options add Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited trims to give buyers as much luxury as they'd find in the company's smaller pickups. Whichever you pick, it comes with a 6.7L diesel V8 engine and a 10-speed automatic.

Standard Features

XL models come with air, vinyl floors, and a vinyl bench seat. There's a four-speaker radio, and that's about it. XLT adds a moonroof on crew-cab models, cruise control, carpet, and a larger digital display on the instrument cluster. It also adds a SYNC3 audio system with satellite radio and the seats are cloth. The wipers get interval control and there's a tilt/telescope steering wheel. It also has more active safety features like blind spot monitoring and emergency braking.

Lariat steps up the luxury features considerably, starting with an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with B&O audio, and heated and ventilated power-adjust leather front seats. The climate control adds dual-zone automatic control, and there are more power points, up to five including two household-style plugs.

King Ranch adds a multi-view camera system and trailer reverse assist. It also comes with special leather-trimmed seats, navigation, and a heated wheel. Limited gets power running boards, even more camera views, and unique leather for the new front seats. The rear seats are heated as well and adaptive cruise and reverse sensing are included. Finally, Platinum adds highland tan leather, a twin-panel moonroof, power telescoping mirrors, adaptive steering, suede headliner and unique exterior trim.

Key Options

All that don't come with the feature can be fitted with the tow camera and trailer backup camera system. XLT Premium adds a host of chrome bits to the outside and a power heated driver's seat. XLT Value adds the power driver seat, reverse sensing, and fog lights. Lariat can be fitted with adaptive cruise and adaptive steering and a power moonroof. King Ranch can be had with body colour trim or an Ultimate Package that adds a twin-panel moonroof, adaptive cruise, and the Limited's multi-contour front seats. Options for the top two models consist of the various camping, plowing, and bedliner options that apply to all the trucks.

Fuel Economy

The F-450's size means that Ford isn't required to provide fuel economy estimates.
