NEW FOR 2015:
-Standard OnStar with 4G LTE and built-in wifi hotspot
No major changes for Buick's compact crossover, which moves into its third model year for 2015.
A 1.4L turbocharged four-cylinder produces 138 hp and 148 lb-ft of torque, and moves the Encore adequately, but not particularly quickly. Front-wheel drive is standard, AWD optional, and the only transmission is a six-speed automatic.
Trim levels are Convenience, Leather and Premium; each is available with front- or all-wheel drive.
Standard equipment includes driver and front passenger knee airbags and rear-seat side airbags (for a total of 10), fog lights, backup camera, 18-inch wheels, air conditioning, ambient interior lighting, tilt-and-telescopic steering, cloth/leatherette seats, six-way manual driver's seat with power lumbar, six-speaker stereo, Bluetooth with audio streaming, IntelliLink infotainment system, and a USB input.
Leather trim adds remote start, rear cross traffic alert, heated side mirrors, automatic dual-zone climate control, tire pressure monitoring, auto-dimming rearview mirror, heated steering wheel, power driver's seat, heated front seats, leather upholstery, and a power front passenger seat.
The Premium model comes with front and rear park assist, automatic wipers, 110-volt power outlet, seven-speaker stereo, and satellite radio.
