For 2007, the Acura TSX receives a single change: a tire pressure monitoring system with location sensors is now standard.
The TSX is based on a global platform used for the European Honda Accord, and is slightly shorter and narrower than the Accord sold here. It comes in a single trim line that can be optioned with a navigation package, and uses a 2.4-litre four-cylinder engine with six-speed manual transmission or optional five-speed automatic.
Standard features include dual-zone automatic climate control, heated power mirrors, 17-inch alloy wheels, auto-off headlamps, leather interior with heated eight-way driver and four-way passenger power-adjustable seats, leather-wrapped wheel and shifter knob, 360-watt, six-CD system with eight speakers, cruise control, power sunroof, power windows with key-operated up/down feature, tilt and telescopic wheel, and 60/40 folding rear seat.
The Navi package includes a navigation system with bilingual voice guidance and recognition, and wheel-mounted controls.
The TSX is one of the better-handling front-wheel drive models available, and the close-coupled six-speed manual makes taking it around the block that much more fun. Its sporty characteristics are tempered with a smooth ride, and its interior is much nicer than would be expected for the price.
