Replacing the slow-selling and underwhelming Acura RL is the new RLX, the Japanese luxo-brand's new mass-market technology showcase. The new flagship sedan has more processing power than an earth orbiter, all in an attempt to keep you safety between the ditches, and all-wheel steering makes a retro comeback. But, under the hood, the RL gets a lowly 310 hp 3.5L V6, an oddity in a segment full of V8s. Also, being a front-wheel drive car in a sea of premium rear-wheel drive cohorts, the shield-face afflicted RLX is a recipe for a car that's far from Legend-ary.

RLX Elite adds collision mitigation braking system, e-pretensioner, auto-dimming door mirror, adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow, lane keeping assist system, parking sensors, power rear sunshade, rear side sunshades, 14-speaker Acura/KRELL audio system, heated rear seats, and cooled front seats ; removes forward collision warning.
