Refreshed 2027 Pacifica is a Look Ahead at Chrysler’s Future
After 10 years on the road, the Chrysler Pacifica is getting a richly deserved facelift — its second so far. More than just an improvement to the minivan, the new look provides us with a taste of what’s to come for the 100-year-old Chrysler brand.
For 2027, the Pacifica is getting a completely new front-end that features new arrow-shaped LED lights with vertical elements that Chrysler likens to the keys on a piano. A new, illuminated Chrysler logo is mounted centrally on the front-end, and is integrated into the cross-body light signature.
The lower portion of the grill is also illuminated, to make the minivan more distinctive at night. Close by, the actual headlights are have improved, too. The projector lamps now provide 17 per cent more reach than the outgoing model.
Chrysler’s designers have also updated the Pacifica’s rear end. It features a redesigned lightbar that also incorporates the updated wing badge. With the S Appearance Package, the taillights can be darkened to provide the model with a more sinister look.
To go with the updated front and rear, the automaker will offer new wheel options that also feature the brand’s new logo. Buyers will have eight rim styles to choose from in all, ranging from 18 to 20 inches in diameter. New colours will also be available for 2027, including Olive Green, Ember, Glass Grey, and Steel Blue.
Inside, new interior accents will be available throughout the lineup, with the top-of-the-line Pinnacle trim featuring Sol Stopper copper accent stitching and Tungsten Patina piping on the seats. It also gets an “Ultra Console” that blends into the dash, offering additional storage with a passthrough underneath to provide access to handbags and tablets.
For passenger comfort and ease of use, Chrysler has added third-row sun shades, upgraded floor mats, and better trim illumination. A new height-adjustable power tailgate allows owners to set how high the liftgate opens, in order to prevent it from bumping into low ceilings and other obstructions.
Chrysler is also optimizing the way it offers technology options. For 2027, the Family Tech Group is no longer coupled to the Uconnect Theatre Group of options. The automaker believes that will allow buyers to pick the specific options that are best for them, without having to spend money on options they don’t want.
As a result, the Family Tech Group will come with an upgraded audio system, Uconnect 5 NAV with a 10.1-inch display, eight-way power adjusting front seats, and extra power outlets. The group also includes the FamCam interior camera. Meanwhile, the renamed Theatre Group features built-in Amazon Fire TV, seatback video screens, and integrated media inputs.
The 2027 Chrysler Pacifica lineup is expected to arrive at Canadian dealerships. The Grand Caravan, a Canadian exclusive, will soldier on for the upcoming model year, but it will not receive the aesthetic updates that the Pacifica has benefitted from.
