2024 Mercedes-Benz EQB 300 with AWD Added to EV Linueup

Mercedes-Benz is adding a new model to its EQB electric family. The EQB 300 4Matic with dual-motor all-wheel drive will join the front-drive EQB 250 and go on sale by the end of June.

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQB 300 uses the same 70.5-kWh battery pack as the 250. Its motors offer 225 hp and 288 lb-ft of torque, up from 188 and 284, respectively, in the EQB 250. Maximum recharge speeds stay the same, with up to 100-kW Level 3 fast charging and 9.6-kW AC Level 2 charging.

More power and a second electric motor reduce range, but it's a small decrease, just 19 km, from an estimated 359 km to 340 km.

The 2024 Mercedes EQB 300 includes a pair of 10.25-inch screens for the instrument cluster and centre display. Like its lower-powered sibling, the EQB 300 gets an upgraded version of the company's MBUX software that adds improved charging features, a more capable intelligent voice control system, and adds Dolby Atmos to the optional Burmester sound system.

Driver assists are also improved for the 2024 EQB starting with new front and rear cameras. The new cameras allow a better view from the back, as well as improved support from features including the parking systems and active lane keeping.

Two trims will be offered, starting with the $64,990 (plus destination and fees) base model. It includes ambient lighting, navigation, a panoramic sunroof, heated front seats, and active parking assist. For $2,500 more, the Exclusive trim adds a foot-activated tailgate, keyless go, and an advanced sound system. A third row of seats is available on either grade.
