2025 Buick Enclave: Bigger, Massive Screen, Super Cruise Hands-Off Driving

The 2025 Enclave is Buick's largest model and the latest to get the company's Wildcat-inspired front-end treatment. The new generation of the three-row SUV will also add standard AWD, a 30-inch screen, and will offer Super Cruise hands-free driving on every grade.

Buick has been on a product refresh tear, updating or outright replacing its entire lineup in just a couple of years to apply the sharp-eyed and tall grille face inspired by the Buick Wildcat EV concept. The 2025 Enclave is the last to get it and, arguably, where the treatment works least well. The Enclave's taller nose means a taller version of the grille, giving it a bit of a baleen whale appearance.

Aside from the grille, the design works, especially through details such as the checkmark-style headlights and full-width rear LED lights. Avenir models add dark trim and welcome animations to help elevate the experience. The new Enclave is wider, taller, and longer than the model it replaces, though Buick didn't say by how much it has grown.

The standard and only powertrain is all-wheel drive and a 2.5L turbocharged four-cylinder with an eight-speed automatic. The model makes 328 hp, slightly more than last year's V6, but has a much healthier 326 lb-ft of torque. Despite the four, it can tow up to 5,000 lbs.

The cabin's highlight is a 30-inch screen with a seamless bezel and glass that floats above the dashboard. The new system is the largest in its segment and uses Google Built-In with Google Assistant and Google Maps. Wireless charging is standard, and the screen displays up to seven standard camera views, including a surround view.

Blind-zone steering assist, traffic sign recognition, intersection emergency braking, and lane-keeping with lane-departure warning are newly standard for 2025. The new Enclave will also get Super Cruise for the first time. The package lets drivers go hands-off on approximately 1.2 million kilometres of highways in Canada and the U.S. The Super Cruise option includes driver attention assist and enhanced automatic parking.

Buick will offer three trim grades, starting with Preferred. The model includes a power liftgate, heated seats, 20-inch wheels, 12-speaker Bose audio, and the other features already mentioned. Sport Touring adds a flat-bottom wheel, gloss black trim outside, and ST badges. The top of the line Avenir grade comes with adaptive damping, 16-speaker audio, 22-inch wheels, ventilated and massaging front seats, and automatic wipers.

Production of the 2025 Buick Enclave is expected to start later this year. Pricing and full details will come closer to launch, sometime in late summer.
