Stellantis has released the first images of the new, unnamed Jeep EV that it plans to put on sale in the first half of 2023.
Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares this week hosted a press conference detailing its new Dare Forward 2030 initiative, which will see it introduce more than 75 new battery-electric vehicles between now and the end of the decade.
Among these future Stellantis EV offerings will be this cute new Jeep EV. The production version of the battery-electric crossover will ride on the automaker's STLA Small platform – a dedicated EV architecture for subcompact vehicles that will underpin a variety of future Stellantis models.
Technical details on the new Jeep EV have not yet been released, although Stellatis did release two images showing off its exterior from both front and rear three-quarter angles. The photos show a small, subcompact crossover that shares some styling cues with the Jeep Renegade and Compass – two popular Jeep products that many Canadian consumers will be familiar with. The crossover also features narrow LED headlamps, LED taillights, and unique C-pillar-mounted rear door handles.
Stellantis expects the first Jeep EV to begin arriving at dealerships in the first half of 2023. It has not said if this product will be sold in Canada, although it seems likely given the Jeep brand's immense popularity here.
