Volkswagen Golf 1985-2017Change

Live down a rough gravel road and this thing absorbs the bumps and holes like its nothing. lots of power and great handling. could not ask for a better car for the price.

I purchased my Volkswagen Golf from a dealership early this year. I was deciding between this car and a Mazda 3, I am glad I got a Golf! Lets talk about performance, the golf has a 1.8L turbo engine. This is a feature that each trim offers. That extra pick me up when getting onto the highway or passing someone on the road is very important to me to feel as though I have control over my vehicle. The interior design is perfect: simple and sleek.

It may not have been a sport car but she was reliable, very easy to drive, and never let me down once. Plenty of highway and city driving completed without any problems, transporting my band's gear with the hatchback was extremely handy and it carried a lot more than many people suspected.

It's a basic car, but it holds up to even some rigorous going trips. But generally, it works best for day to day stuff like groceries.

Pleasant drive, not much. Excellent in snow. German engineering does not show that much compared to other German brand... Resale value is better than Japanese equivalent.

The Volkswagen Golf is a very comfortable car to be in. The fuel economy is quite acceptable. It performes well, and you really feel like you have a good control on the road. The Interiour Design is quite good as well, the company seems to try switching or changing theDesign every year or so, however I think that they should keep or stick with what works best. The exterior styling is fine. The Volkswagen Golf is a very reliable car.

I've owned this car for a few years now, and I must say the one thing about it that really stands out is its general utility - while being fairly inexpensive, it remains incredibly reliable, very efficient, and the engine puts out more power than one might expect. It's by no means a racecar *laughs* but it'll do anything a sane person might need it to; whether that be hauling groceries, going on road trips, or whatever other normal things one might want to do.

I really love my new golf 2017. I had a Civic before and it's a totally different way to drive. It is a performance car, with style and technology. The design is beautiful and i love the curves of the car. Apple Carplay is nice, but is not perfect. Sometimes, it dosen't work at all.I think the seats are nice, but not enough comfortable.

This has been my car for almost 10 years and I have loved having it. It is great for city driving and especially parking because of its size. The car surprisingly fits a lot of stuff, especially in the trunk, with even more when the back seats are down. I have moved myself two times in this car and it fit everything like a glove.
It will be louder than a gasoline engine if you're used to that, but it is fantastic on fuel and gets ~850km to a tank when highway driving. It is solid and a heavier feeling car, so you don't skid or hydroplane. I have driven this car in all types of weather, including snow and pouring rain, and felt totally confident.
All major repairs (timing belt, starter, and brakes) have been done in the last 2 years. I have invoices for almost all services and for all major work done to the car.
The car comes with 1 keyless entry remote and 1 valet key.

As a person who has driven a lot of VW Golf`s it definately has a nice smooth ride,they are very reliable cars,great on fuel.
They are cars that are reliable efficient.For a car that has a 2.0 litre engine it is probably one of the best cars that has this type of engine & definately beats out the competition

this car has no problems on hills and is quick on passing with lots of pep and torque. Good comfort over long distance. Fuel economy is still around 4.5Lt per 100Km.

Awesome first car, and a first hand lesson that rustproofing and regular oil changes really do prolong the life of a car.

From all angles, this is an incredibly reliable, comfortable and enjoyable car to own and drive. One of the best cars I've driven and owned in the past few years.

What a great little car, never had any issues with it, always started no matter the coldness and never got stuck. Once I added winter tires this little car handled better then vehicles much bigger.
This car is Very comfortable and smooth riding vehicle. Great on fuel, about 750km/tank. The stereo sounds great. lots of room in the back and The seats are very comfortable.
I really cannot say anything about this car, i knew what i was getting as my family has always been a VW family. In fact this little car surpassed all my expectations. I would never second guess getting another one but as my family is growing it is time for something a little bigger..Tiguan here we come!!
This car was my go to during school and my first years out of university... it was so reliable that it saved me so much on gas and up keep...I would highly recommend this little car.

Very comfortable and smooth riding vehicle. Fantastic on fuel, it get better fuel mileage then VW quotes. The stereo sounds great. Plenty of power because of the turbo diesel motor. lots of room in the back. The seats are so comfortable, I spent 6.5 hours in the car one day and never have any soreness in my back with other cars I have driven I couldnt say the same. It is a very good car

Great car in rain and snow. No issues climbing hills. Very roomy and large trunk Could improve seat reclining system otherwise excellent car and excellent on gas.

This car has been tested in some of canada's harshest climates and has always been reliable and a great drive.

Superb performance with excellent fuel economy is the only way to describe this every day commuter TDI. So many upgrades that enhances the joy of driving; a must to see and drive to appreciate.

I love the shape of a Golf, and it rides solid on the road. Whenever I have rented cars and they end up being chevy's, dodge or fords the rides are always a loose suspension feel and feels like you are riding in a wavy boat. VW makes a solid car and you can feel it in all of their components. The golf packs a punch in its drive and is great on gas. Also it's basic model sometimes has more features than other cars luxury packages.
One con would be because of the boxy shape, when only the front windows are down it makes a wubba wubba sound inside, but you can fix that by slightly lowering the back windows. All and all a great ride!

This is a great handling car on the highway or in city traffic. Plus it is easy to park!
The seat heaters are a real bonus. The air-conditioning and heaters work perfectly.
Having a full set of extra rims with winter tires makes seasonal change-over easy. It also makes the tires last longer and ensures safer winter driving.

I love my car for various reasons. The interior design is nice with a very sturdy black fabric with red stiching. The stick has a sporty look. Much nicer than the usually boring interior design for the Golf. It's easy to park in the city yet I've been able to move beds and bookshelves. I have good experiences with this car. Never have problems and is very economic. Great daily driver. Good on gas, just enough pep, simple to work on yourself.
Fun to drive, comfortable ride, hatchback utility, lots of standard features in fourth-generation Golf.

We've had it since 2006 and can say nothing but good things about owning a diesel golf. My inlaws liked it so much they bought themselves a brand new one last year.
Its roomy, well laid out, German quality interior and exterior, lots of torque with the diesel motor and great fuel efficiency. Great safe little car that can be very versatile.

I've always been a GOLF lover, they are great for driving, safe, economic in gas and great in space, I know I can trust this car to fit almost anything in it, it is the VW stamp, great quality.

This car served me very well. Never had any major problems in 4 years, only regular maintenance. (with the exception of water pump usually goes around 100,000km) Excellent on gas great design inside and out and a lot of fun to drive.
