100,000 km and all good
Bought this Car new and have had zero problems. I haven't even had to do brakes yet!
The rear seat (7 seater) is hard for anyone older than 16 to get out of as the seat is only inches off the floor.
Nice features are that the front passenger seat can fold down so the back is level with the rear seats...allowing transport of long objects. I have had a 10' step ladder in it!
Also the middle seat backs are adjustable to recline a few inches
I wish it was 4 wheel drive but all and all a very good ride

You need to know about this "safety" feature
I used to love this vehicle, now I can't wait to move on. The child lock for the doors is located on the armrest and is very easy to turn off without knowing it. I found out when my 2 year-old granddaughter managed to get the back door open while I was driving on highway 400! I went all the way to the vice-president of design at GM and was told this was a safety feature in case you need to exit the vehicle quickly even though the owner's manual CLEARLY says the doors cannot be opened or unlocked when the vehicle is moving. I pointed out that if the child lock is on, the door can't be opened. They stuck by their guns and now I am stuck with a vehicle I don't feel safe driving my grandchildren in. GM is the only vehicle I have owned and I am sorry to say I will never own another one.

Insanely great car
I've owned many cars in my 40 years of driving, and this car has captured my interest for longer than any other car. For the money, you cannot get better value than the Orlando! Fuel economy is better than any 7 pass, acceleration is good, and the auto 6 speed trans is fun to shift in traffic. It handles well, good ride, and cruises at highway speeds effortlessly. I wanted a sunroof so I had an aftermarket installed for $1200. Overall reliability has been good, except for an oil line leak and trans fluid needs changing often in heavy traffic commuting use. Highly recommended.

Do NOT buy this car
This car is a complete piece of junk. It's been in the shop every month in the 12 months we've owned it,
Pros; the car has decent room, both front and back seats. Lots of room to carry things. It's not too bad of a ride, and is fairly comfy. The gas mileage is also pretty good. That's about where the good ends.
Cons; transmission is sub-standard. Grinds when started warm, the catalytic converter has gone twice in 10 months, the front shocks started leaking, the air bag system malfunctions and comes on at regular intervals requiring repairs, the battery mysteriously died for no reason resulting in replacing it.

Versatility and a good price
We're empty nesters so have owned lots of vehicles.
We considered a lot of different vehicles and ended with with the Orlando.
At 20,000 km's we're had no issues at all.
Decent on gas at an overall average of 10L per 100 km's or 28 mpg in mostly town driving.
Very comfortable to drive on the highway and lot's of cargo space.
Other vehicles considered were the Equinox, Terrain, Sportage, Cr-V.
No regrets with our Orlando at all.

It does exactly what it says
Two years of ownership, and so far my only issue was the wiper blades! Seriously! That's it! City driving can be a little hard on the gas, but which vehicle isn't!
The flexibility is the main point of this vehicle as already mentioned by other owners. As for the comfort issue, yes sure adults in the rear seat will be uncomfortable, so put the kids there instead!
Overall, a great car! Car not minivan!

A terrific ride for families
This vehicle has excellent flexibility in terms of being able to haul a group (seats 7) or a load (seats fold level to create a storage platform). My family loves this vehicle, it rides smooth and steers like a small car. I've even noticed way less blind spots in this vehicle compared to my previous car.

Wonderful Car
This car is perfect for a small, active family. It has enough room for 7 people, although the back 2 passengers won't be very comfy on a long drive as it is a bit cramped in the back seat and there is a lot of road noise back there.
Fuel economy is great, not as good as I had expected but it is still great.
I love the way it drives. Just like driving a car rather than a small mini van.
I love this car and i feel like my family is safe when we're in it.

Excellent car for a small family
I have owned this car for almost a year now. I love the way it drives and it has enough space for my family of 4 and for all of our gear/groceries. I love that I can fit 7 passengers if i need to and that the seats fold down to give me more cargo area. I don't like that there isn't any room for any luggage or anything if you have 7 passengers. The very back 2 seats are not very comfortable if you get stuck back there for a long period of time and there is a lot of road noise in the very back.
Fuel economy is good. I haven't had any problems with this car at all. Suits my needs. Really a great vehicle!

Great Family Ride
I never thought I'd enjoy driving a "mini van" But the Orlando LTZ is brilliant. Seats 7, not comfortably, but still can seat 7. With the rear seats folded down, there is more than enough storage space. The heated seats are to DIE FOR seriously makes winter driving so much better. The traction control and ABS Give me such a great peace of mind. It has a pretty decent kick to it too. Not bad for a 4 beater. Handling could be a bit better especially in high winds.

Nice Car for that Price
After checking lot of reviews and comments on this vehicle i decided to buy this vehicle last month. I am happy that this mini SUV if perfect on all aspects.. I found only one issue of blind spots due to wide pillar size, but we can fix it by affixing small mirrors on the side view mirrors. you can buy it from Canadian tire for 6-7 bucks. . Over all its a good vehicle. The stylish interior looks like a interior of luxury car. It is very silent and smooth on Road .

I have had the car for almost a year now, and it is absolutely amazing. It was inexpensive and it is great on gas. It i the perfect family car. I have a family of 5 and we can all be in the car with tons of trunk space. The car looks great inside and out, and is very durable. The Orlando drives smoothly and ha tons of great features. It is a great car overall.

This car is awesome
The 2012 Chevrolet Orlando is an awesome vehicle. I have a family with three kids and two large dogs. We go everywhere in the car. We've even used it to go car camping with the back full of things and a roof rack laden with goods. It's been the most useful and reliable car I've ever owned. The only downside is that the stock tires aren't that great and the roof-rack is an aftermarket item. Also, no built-in towing hitch mount points. The options that come standard are also great. I've driven this car from Vancouver to Calgary and back already and it performed excellently through the mountain passes.

Love the Value!
I was able to get to try out the car for a week. I loved all the features and how big it was for a small vehicle. I am planning to buy one for our next car this fall. I was impressed that you could fit 7 people in the car. We have two boys and drive all over and this car is great on gas. We travel quite a it too so the gas consumption is a big feature for me. I also love how everything is right at your fingertips when you are driving. Can't wait to go and purchase one of these awesome new cars!

ok car
Hmm. Mixed feelings on this vehicle. Drives okay, pretty smooth and comfortable, but has very little juice. A good grocery getter, but that's about it. As for space and function on the interior, that's where I really think there is a big fail. . Plus, there is virtually nowhere in this car to store anything. There is a nifty hidden storage compartment that will hold your cell phone, Ipod and cord but not much else. The center console storage compartment is ridiculously small, barely is long enough for a pen. I wouldn't be using the dash storage thing too much everyday-can see that breaking. Never mind the fact that you have to be careful shutting it because every 2nd time I try to shut it my fingers hit the CD eject button.
And fingerprints-this is the worse. Every print will be on this console, be prepared to keep cleaning wipes on hand because looking at them everyday drives me over the edge and I end up cleaning the dash everyday. It sounds like I am a dirty person but honestly, it is only me in this car 90% of the time and I do not eat in it, so where does the ick come from! Any oil or anything on your fingers will transfer badly.
But the worst, BLIND spots. Major blind spots in this vehicle, every direction you turn to shoulder check-do it again and again and make sure you use your mirrors.
I use this for work and it's near impossible to store anything. As for comfort, the gimpy thing they call an arm rest-please. Glad I didn't pay for it. As for it being a family car.....if you only need the back seats seats, sure. I am not joking.

Great new vehicle
We'd been waiting for this vehicle to come out for a while, and we weren't disappointed. The biggest thing we really like is the optional 3rd row seat. Mostly we have it down to use for cargo, but it's nice to have the option to have more seating when it's needed. That said, your cargo space disappears when the third row is up, but I guess that's the price you pay for the vehicle's compact size. It's a great mix of room and compact size. It's easy to drive and does well on fuel for the type of vehicle it is.

Sacrifice on comfort and you can save money
Not everyone can afford a Toyota Sienna or a Honda Odyssey, those cars set the standard for what to aspire to in a minivan.
However for those who do not have the budget have a frugal option. This car has:
-A relatively smaller engine (but the Sienna has a similar one).
-A smaller body (gas savings)
-Might be good if the van aspect is needed but sparingly used (e.g. commute to work during the week and short week end trips).
-Better space than a 7 seater SUV
However the downside to this is that the interior space is really limited.
There is no way to put it but adult rear passengers will not be comfortable, this is my biggest issue.
Overall the affordability is the main factor in choosing this car, expect to get what you pay for it.
Avoid if discomfort really matters.
