We had a 2009 Corolla LE, and we miss some of the features on that model that are gone in the 2012.

The most missed is the arm-rest top cover. In the 2009, it slid forward to provide more arm support on long drives.

Also missing are the small pockets found on either side of the center console. They were handy for small things.

The 2009 had a power outlet in the center console, gone in the 2012.

They finally figured out that the time should be displayed in an easier way than cycling through the LCD display in the instrument cluster. However, instead of just putting it on the Nav display, they add an ugly and obviously afterthought clock on the top of the dash.

As for the navigation option, it works fine in the US. However, in Canada it was out of date the day we picked up the car. The voice nav keeps putting "state" in every road name, even if the correct name is displayed on the LCD.

Finally, we had a problem from almost the first day with the Airbag Warning light. It would come on randomly. The dealer had the vehicle for almost a full week trying to get it to happen to them, never did. I had to resort to taking pictures of the light with my cell phone because apparently the on-board system does not log errors from the SRS system.

Eventually, about two months after we picked up the car, they finally had a fix from Toyota.
