I took over this car after my sister went overseas. At that time, I drove on the highway a lot. At first, I was a little skeptical of commuting in a small car at high speed. But I was pleasantly surprised. My Tercel was a 3-speed automatic. So at highway speed, it was revving up quite nicely and with enough power to spare. Gas mileage is impressive. It is easy to maintain the car too. All it asks for is regular oil change and occassional treats of premium fuel.

It handles as good as it looks. Classy but not street-racy. The interior has some room for improvement though. The parts can get really pricy. Consider this a warning. Leasing might make sense for some people.

The first thing that attracts me in this car is the styling. Unique and ahead of its time. It was also one of the few ones that offer sport shift in non-luxury models.

Used to think it is a reliable family ride. Years ago, it had a recall regarding the accelerator pedal. After the fix, the pedal acts funny. The mileage is ok for a V6. For appearance, much is left to be desired. Do consider the US and Korean alternatives when getting a family sedan.

I am getting good mileage on the highway and decent one in the city. It requires very little attention and oil change is all it needs. Heard there is a recall regarding the power windows. Have yet to find out if this model is affected.
